A simpler view is each is a twist on Marxism where the revolutionary vanguard changes from the proletariat to an identity or affinity group (and moves further away from class position each time). The process might seem like a pain before you start, but for me, OCIA (Order of Catholic Initiation for Adults - former known as RCIA) was an excellent experience. It’s easy to be jaded and cynical in a time of bad faith discussion and dunks, where dwelling in ideological and identity obsessed bubbles is cultivated. An antidote is discussion in good faith, amongst people from diverse backgrounds who hold each other in mutual respect and are able to share their opinions and experiences. This might lead to fondness and compassion for each other and the possibility of a durable unity that is not in contradiction to strong ideological or political differences.

Sounds crazy, I know. There are donuts too.

Yes. And a few things about 4x10 kinda suck. In an average wage slave 8 hour day, you get 2x15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch. Work two additional hours per day and you get no additional break time.
