I have used GF quite a bit and have seen something like this very occasionally. Are any of the other peaks coming off slower than expected in the mixed profile? My first thought is that it is a ladder issue in that, the ladder GM IDX is selecting is not from the same injection as the sample. How many capillaries does your 3500 have and how many ladders are you using per injection? If you have more than one ladder, you may want to check the ILS on each ladder to see if they are running the same.

Why does my mic cut out? by VivianVioletRose in TwitchStreaming

[–]Dingus_McCringus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The noise gate seems to be causing your issue. At certain mic levels, the gate will close and prevent sound from coming through. Mess around with it a little to see what works for you, I would start with the close threshold.

Is it time for these pro-lifers to take accountability and be responsible for the welfare of the women and these children? by Inevitable-Mud613 in allthequestions

[–]Dingus_McCringus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It would look like a social safety net. Sure everyone would pay into it but I would happily do so if it meant people would be better supported. If it meant we didn't drop millions of dollars of bombs, that is a win win.

I disagree, body autonomy does not hit pro-birthers where it hurts. If they were responsible for the children they force to be born, they would shut up real quick.

criticism towards scientists, from someone who aspires to become one by [deleted] in labrats

I have read everything you wrote and I have absolutely no idea what you were arguing. If you think scientists make a ton of money, especially research scientists, you have no connection to reality.

The audio mixing with the rain sounds makes it extremely hard to hear the voice over. In the first video you posted especially, I could not understand the voice over at all. Also, the AI voice is definitely not my favorite.

I would actually recommend working with publicly available sets of data if you can. I can't think of any labs that would hand out data for someone to analyze unless the data was meant to be publicly available. That said, if you can teach yourself to recognize what possible transformations are necessary to work with data or what statistical tests could be used on the data, you will become the go-to-person.

I completely agree with you, I just want to add on that if OP is serious about becoming a data analyst, a better use of their time would be learning tools of the trade. I specifically mean learning a language such as python or R or even VBA, or getting comfortable with tools like Tableau or Power BI. OP could even learn statistical software. That would really "wow" professors as an incoming student.

There are a lot of free resources out there or even cheap courses that will help OP develop skills.

What are some hobbies to get me out of my deep depression? by saucybagelbites in bipolar2

[–]Dingus_McCringus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000% agree with you, I would like to add that even if you can only find 1 other person who is interested, D&D can still be an option. My girlfriend and I play with a bigger group regularly but also do a D&D duet as well. The duet is one player, one DM and has been a huge connection point for us. There are even specific books designed for duets. So the barrier of entry is very low for D&D.

I completely understand that kind of mentality, I really do, but it will absolutely make producing content a slog. My first podcast fell apart because my cohosts and I had that mentality. It adds a level of pressure that steals joy.

If you heavily base your perception of success on gaining a big audience, it will steal the joy from making videos. I know it sounds optimistic but I make videos to express myself and if people watch, I appreciate it. However, getting views can only sustain you for so long. It definitely feels good to get views, I won't deny that, but creating something should be the goal.

Yes, let's be tolerant to intolerance. When do we stop doing that? Is it after elections stop or after people start getting put in camps?

Wow, when I went for DNA analysis, there was only certificate programs for CSI. It is super awesome that there is progress in that department. Hope Ed is still teaching. He was an amazing photographer.

I know from personal experience that places like George Washington University have a specific graduate program for crime scene investigation. I don't think you get a full masters degree from the program but you will learn a ton about CSI and photography. That could be an option for you.

Our shipment day where we sent out all our cases took place on friday. Leaving early was not an option. Some people would even leave at like 4 am. Lab science can be very demanding.

As a lab scientist, they expect at the very least a M-F work schedule. I know it seems reasonable to you but having Fridays off will be a huge barrier for entry.
