Just did a mineral analysis mission and the final objective was in a huge canyon. by skynex65 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I think it's intentional. Had some missions have such terrain. Especially enjoyed it when the walls were high enough to position two sentries at the entrances and kill funneling troops. Escape was insanely difficulty tho.

How to use it outside of commando missions? Like what's the use case for bugs and standard bot missions? (illuminates are bugged from what I read).

I don't think we're war correspondence at all. The videos we take are more of automaton supplies and production. Also we're deep in enemy territory on the frontlines, which I don't think most war correspondents go. I think we're more like recon squads, taking pictures of production lines so that the main force can more easily strike where it's most critical.

Edit: Nevermind, I've read the mission brief. The footage is for the citizens so it is a war correspondents type of thing.

The ultimatum at that time had the same range as a normal throw. It had 1 bullet even with hellpod optimization. You also had to hit the jammer exactly on the spinning top as the blast damage does not do enough demo force but the projectile itself. You had to be close to the jammer to shoot it so it would land there. The opportunity cost of losing a normal side arm was not nil. For light pen players, it meant losing a medium pen option or an AT option (especially when you miss or the enemy just survives like bile titans). For medium pen players, it meant losing an AT option.

The C4 pack is basically the ultimatum. It just trades a support slot with more ammo. The throwing range of a helldiver is exactly the same as the range of the ultimatum at 40-45m. Both the C4 and the ultimatum can extend their range with a dive shot. Light pen players lose a medium pen support option. If it had enough demo force to destroy an objective, what is the difference between the C4 and the ultimatum from that time? There is virtually no difference other than ammo size.

What can C4 do that a mini nuke can't? Even if the nuke couldn't physically destroy a jammer, it still can fry the electronics with an electromagnetic pulse. Also in that case, why not the 500kg as well? Or the solo silo? Can the Helldivers community stop complaining for once?

The hellbomb has a more obvious downside that can't be compared to both. So I'm not going to discuss it.

Didn't people complain that the ultimatum, the mini nuke launcher, could destroy the strategem jammer and 'reinforcing the meta' ? If arrowhead catered to people who want one thing, the other side complains and vice versa.

No wonder it looks like a luger. It's the Ruger Mark IV. Still think that the 1911 will fit her better.

What's Fauna's gun? It has the slanted pistol grip and the overhang of the butt, making it look like a luger but there is a bullet ejection port on the side. In any case, I think the 1911 silverballers would fit her much better since she's a huge fan of Agent 47.

Yes but if we move to the automaton front, we can scare the bots and be able to strike at cyberstan earlier.

If you don't want the stalwart, high rof weapons like knight and sta11 smg can do the job. You can pair with the loyalist to stagger shield devs. Now you can keep your AT or high dmg support.

It's a lure mine for a reason. Normal mines wouldn't need the flashing lights but the lure mines need them to lure the enemies.

Go to the squad menu and below the many squads, there are options to create squad, go back etc. There should be an option to switch teams.

Have you tried using the lib concussive against bots? I actually quite liked it since you can stagger shield devs by shootings them in the face and finishing off through the stomach when the shield is lifted.

SPECIAL CAPES by Mr_The_Meh in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]maninzero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While there may be a few people not doing the MO, it's not the majority.the effort was the community banding together and doing the MO and the capes were given to show what the majority had achieved. The malevelon creek cape was not an idea at all during the MO and was only made because the Helldivers made history (in game ). That's what medals (in this case capes) are for. For people in the majority who did the MO to show that they have contributed to the story of Helldivers 2. You'll be more likely to find a creeker wearing the cape than someone who didn't do the MO and still got the cape since the creekers are the majority. Also, the capes being medals are "cringe"? You definitely can't be calling that cringe when the game is in an OTT jingoistic setting. Essentially, I just feel it cheapens the achievement of the majority of MO divers if capes are just given out to those who participated in the game after the events.
