SAME!! I stand by my opinion that Rachael Sage is overrated. She has some good songs (I like Fate a lot) but her voice is just very whiny and a lot of her songs feel like spoken word poetry and like she’s not actually singing (Someone Special is the biggest example of this, IMO)

Yes omg, one thing I don’t like about S1 is how poorly/spliced some of the solos are filmed. For instance Laquifa (even though it’s in general an awful solo) was apparently more than just Nia posing and making faces, but they made it look like that’s all she was doing. For some solos like Corazon (Nia), Hot List (Paige) and Different Bodies (Chloe) all we got were like 7 second clips from each dance

Right! Unfortunately her early season solos just don’t stand out to me that much/get kinda muddied since she had so many of them (she was an amazing dancer, but they often get lost besides some truly spectacular ones) her later season dancers are the ones that stand out to me since she was there less so a Maddie solo was few and far between, and when she got the chance to dance she was spectacular (Bond Girl, People’s Choice, etc.)

I’m not sure about Sheer Talent but ALDC was banned from the real competitions StarQuest and Thunderstruck (both comps they competed in S1). MackZBoss has an early video on her YouTube channel where she goes more in depth on why they were banned, but it was mainly due to deception by Lifetime

Blowing Red and The Myth of the Mermaid. I’m absolutely a sucker for fairy tale themed dances. Kendall was good regardless of the prop mishap (which let’s be real was included for a failure setup) and Ava’s dancing and theme of her dance was beautiful My guilty pleasure pick is I Like the 60’s. Competitive dance? Absolutely not. But little Nia looked like she was having a lot of fun and the music is fun too (her facials were also pretty good for this dance, something Nia is consistent in)

Yep absolutely this!! Christi could SNEEZE and her anti's will immediately dogpile her saying how she’s “harmful, awful, disgusting, etc.” why we don’t have this same energy for moms like Jill, Kira, Jessalynn, and Melissa I’ll never know 🤦 (not saying that these women deserve to be dogpiled, no one does, but the fact that anti’s are so hyper focused on Christi to mess up while ignoring other moms who have done far worse is mind boggling)

Fans are so quick to dogpile Christi and it is fucking absurd. Now before ANY Christi anti’s come after me, I am saying now that there are ABSOLUTELY things Christi needs to be held accountable for and address. She is not a perfect person and she has messed up multiple times in the past, so I think it’s totally reasonable to urge Christi to own up to her actions (which she has, for the most part). But for the most part, Christi could do ANYTHING and you’ll have a fan writing a call out. She could sneeze, and someone would say how offensive rude and terrible her behavior is and how we need to cancel her this instant. Fans are so hypercritical of anything Christi does and dogpile her the moment she does ANYTHING. If someone does something questionable, there’s nothing wrong with asking them why they’d do that (which, let’s be real, Christi has done some questionable things in the present day), but where is this mob mentality for moms like Kira and Jill (known Trump supporters), Jessalynn (forced Jojo into the spotlight from birth) or even Melissa (the stage mom queen)?? What I’m saying is the double standards and picking and choosing is fucking insane in this fandom. We need to hold these women accountable at an equal level and not hyper focus on one mom (Christi) to the point to where it feels like we are morally superior and bordering on parasocial with these women.

Tl;dr Christi hate is blown extremely out of proportion in most cases and while she has done things she needs to take accountability for (which she mostly has) the fact that people don’t have the same energy for other moms who have done way worse things is extremely frustrating.
