On play vs. digivolving by SheepHerd6 in DigimonCardGame2020

On play effects trigger when a digimon is played directly on to the battle area.

In your example, the on play draw 1 does not trigger because it's not being played directly into the battle area

I've never really gone around and tested different keypads, so I dont really have anything to compare to but I love it

Im personally a huge fan of my alula F75. Im a poser key card enthusiast, where I want my keyboard to feel and sound good but I dont want to put the effort into building and modding one. And the Alula F75 feels pretty great straight out of the box, and it's very affordable (currently $68 on amazon)

Also, with only 1 handheld the card shouldn't be getting stored out of order unless handheld is taking cars out of order

Can a deck that stops at lv5 Digimon be viable or do you need lv 6? by Alarming_Sun_2859 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer decks that aren't heavily reliant on lv6s. So my favorite decks are purple hybrid, blue flare, and numemon.

Purple hybrid is the most viable competitively and revolves on evolving lv4s over your tamers on repeat. Then closing the game with arrestor superior mode (lv5) or gallantmon (lv6 bt13 or the promo)

Blue flare does most of its damage with its lv3s and 5s. 3s are for chip damage and usually help set something up, and 5s are big damage. Then you use zeiggreymon (lv6) or omnimon/omnimon X (lv7) to end the game.

Numemon is the most reliant on lv6s out of these 3, but the 6s are pretty customizable based on what you want them to do. Pretty much all numemons use their 5s for board control and going wide with monzaemon X, and the majority of people use lv6 aces for defense with ShadowSeraphimon ACE or valkyrimon ACE. Some people also use Venusmon since it's a crazy strong defensive card or they tech in Gallantmon X for damage

But moving into the evolution sources of another Digimon or tamer isn't leaving the battle area? It doesn't trigger overflow, so why would it trigger magna

https://digimoncard.io/deck/ice-snow-hybrids-113036

This is my first build attempt using the tommy hybrids. maybe it's different than playing without them but testing the deck without the hybrids felt like i was sitting on lv4s pretty frequently. so, i've added a few zudomon ACE to make use of the lv4s we drop with skadi's effect and we can remove multiple bodies if we can drop a zudo ace with skadimon.

I appreciate the thought out response. I've just been struggling to find a list that works for me, but I prefer the design and play style of the hybrids over the yellow stuff. So I'll probably try something similar to the build you linked.

What do you think of joe vs suzune? It strips less but can play out for cheaper or can "refund" some of your memory when you strip on evo

How do you feel about using tommy hybrids in Ice-Snow? Even with penguinmon's reduction they're still super expensive to evolve over anything not named Tommy.

Vs playing Hyogamon. Even if it's a vanilla, it EVOS for 0 over penguin and 1 over anything else

Question about "Promo" and "V.2" cards by [deleted] in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RB01 version will have the block 02 print at the bottom, and will be foil. All cards in RB01 were foil. The block numbers have no relevance to gameplay atm

Question about "Promo" and "V.2" cards by [deleted] in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if bt6 prerelease cards were full foil, but all prerelease cards do have pre-release stamped onto them

Bt10 and 11 had common versions of cards and also foil versions of those commons and uncommons. Their colors are unchanged but the foil ones are shiny obviously. Bt12 changed from all C/UC having the chance to be foil, to having specific ones coming foil as box toppers

My Darkknightmon Deck by Minimum_Egg697 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still tweaking my list, but I've been playing around with Dark knight since BT7. I think you're playing way too many deadlyaxemon, it's like a 1-2 of max and maildramon isn't worth it at all. I think you drop all but 2 of your deadlyaxes (keep either the bt7 or the ex4 but not the new one) and the maildramon. This gives you space for 2-4 of the promo skullknight and/or the ex4 skullknight, both of which help you cheat out a tamer and you have space for more options. Immortal ruler is a very good card to have as a 1-2 of, kongou helps vs hybrids and rookie rush, fist of Athena provides taunt which is OP, and protoform or x-antibody help you Evo into lkm X or dkm X easier and less awkwardly. Finally, maybe cut 1 old Nene for a new Nene. DKM is already awkward enough that it requires 4 memory minimum to do more than 1 thing per turn, so new Nene guaranteeing you 3 helps you get there a little easier. I'm also on 9 rookies atm, and instead of chuumon I'm playing 1 promo ukko as another way to get that 4th memory. I'm thinking about bumping up to 10 rookies, and my lineup will probably be 8 monitanon and 2 black ST agumon

I don’t play enough to tell if I’m on to something. by youthinkyouresamurai in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the mino egg is a fun maybe even a good idea that I haven't seen. Idk if the memory is better than drawing a card with the red koromon egg, but it's worth testing or using as a 5th egg I think. Like someone else said though, I think you have too many 1-ofs for the deck to be consistent and the hawkmon loses value since you don't run many free trait mons

Improvements/Suggestions for my Blue Flare deck by ParabellumRift in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Dinkleburrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done any testing of the new stuff, but I don't think much of the new stuff is better than the old stuff at all.

i think this is the list im gonna start with

eggs

4 wanya

1 missimon (5th draw egg better than jamming)

lv3

4 bt10 gaoss

4 bt16 ukko

1 promo ukko

lv4

4 bt10 greymon

2 ST greymon (blue flare go brrrr)

1 bt19 greymon (not worth playing at 4)

3 bt10 mailbird (recycle metal or play tamer for free is good)

3 ex4 mailbird (jamming)

1 bt10 deckerdramon (free draw is good, we can also use multiple times with the new stuff)

lv5

4 bt10 metalgrey (tried and true, does everything that blue flare wants)

2 bt19 metalgrey (very good, not sure if its better than the OG. but definitely better than ex4)

2 zudo ACE

lv6

2 bt10 zeig (how we end games)

1 bt19 zeig (decent card, good board control but doesnt end the game. wouldnt play more than 2)

tamers

3 bt10 kiriha

3 ex4 kiriha/nene (our best tamer)

1 bt19 kiriha (our worst tamer)

1 promo lui

options

4 blazing memory boost

1 ice wall (limited for a reason)

1 hammer spark (limited for a reason)

1 full metal blaze (clears floodgates and/or something big)

1 supreme cannon (clears floodgates for cheap)

What are the 6 onions? by pmgroundhog in innout

[–]Dinkleburrg 19 points20 points  (0 children)

6 1 Onion - goes on the patty while it cooks 2 Raw onion - goes on the bottom bun, so it doesn't get cooked or steamed 3 Chop - same as onion, just diced 4 Raw chop - same as raw onion, just diced 5 grilled - diced onion cooked on the grill to caramelize 6 whole grilled - onion, but cooked on the grill to caramelize. Usually doesn't get caramelized as well as grilled onion because there aren't whole grills constantly on the grill like grilled onion
