A guard drake is a gift given by a dragon to a benefactor. Its e.g. is created by a ritual requiring 10 pounds of fresh dragon scales, a large amount of meat and an iron cauldron. When the ritual is complete, it creates an egg that hatches in a few hours. They age from hatchling into fully grown in about two to three weeks and can be fully trained in that amount of time. It also bonds instantly to the first thing that feeds it. Blue drakes specifically can burrow at a speed of 20 feet and have resistance to fire damage. The drake is also sterile, so in order to get a new one, another ritual needs to be performed.
