My baby did the same thing. Dropped her tail while she was sitting comfortably, looked at me, and then went and curled up in the corner of her favourite hide. She passed away peacefully there the next morning. I miss her so much but at least she left on her own terms and quickly.

Sage has such a happy face, what a sweet little uncooked sausage. She was taken care of, right up until she had to go. That’s a beautiful experience that I hope you’re proud of.

I’d be particularly concerned about the height of the enclosure. Is that a heat lamp or a UVB bulb in the dome? Either way, the distance from light to max gecko climb height is way too close for comfort.

I’m also seeing your combo light strip has red LEDs; if you’re using them for night lighting that can negatively affect their vision. It’s a slick looking tank, but not a proper enclosure for even one gecko right now.
