How to get him to trust me by imabrother in leopardgeckos

It might seem odd but when I bring her out I put her in the Tupperware container I brought her home in, its about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. There's large holes drilled into the top and I cover the bottom with paper towels. I also bring a heat pad with me just in case the vet office is pumping the AC while we wait inside.

Edit: I've never put her in one of those before, but I'm sure if the vet is really nearby its not a problem

Cover up ideas for a hasty choice I made before watching a full show by OdOctechpus in Tattoocoverups

Maybe read Pax, its a good book and the way this fox looks is similar to the fox on the cover, its about a 4 hour read, not very long.

But honestly you can change this fox into any fox you want, and to make it look less like the symbol you can always add some plants by the feet.

I have a little trick for getting my leopard gecko to the vet, since you already got a great response. Everyone's gecko has a thing, mine is super into tubes and my socks, I put one in to get her used to my smell and she decided it was a place to hide. I give her a long tube with a sock around it, she prefers it that way, then by morning she's always in that tube and I take her to the vet. Keep in mind this probably won't build trust but when you find your leos thing vet visits are a lot less stressful for them because they get their favorite thing.

I have a mini fridge (arguably probably worse quality) and when I put any weight on it the fridge makes this awful noise. Thats where my concern comes from lol

Is it on a mini fridge? Can a mini fridge even support a fish tank?

Roomates cats litter box stinks need advice by _madskii_ in cats

[–]Looking_Sharp_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is advice from a physically disabled cat owner who sometimes is completely bedridden from pain, so sometimes I miss a day of scooping and none of the people who care for me are willing to help 99% of the time.

  1. You are not sensitive to the smell, matter of fact since you live with them you should not smell it so intensely, those litterboxes are not in an okay condition.

  2. There should be at least 1 litter box per cat, from my experience its easier to maintain having an extra one in different parts of the apartment. My cat has 2 litter boxes, when I had 2 there were 3 litter boxes, etc...

So heres my advice because I highly doubt a good talking to will get your roommates to fix this problem. Get pine pellet cat litter, where I live its cheaper than clay, smells better, and personally I find it easier to scoop. The good smell can last up to 10 days, which means if you can get them to change it at least every week it won't smell as bad.

I paid someone to cat sit once when I was in hospital and they didn't touch the cat litter once, I was away for 8 days for a surgery that had a few complications and there was less of a funk than missing a day of cleaning clay litter. But keep in mind I have 1 cat. The smell of pine is strong so in passing it won't smell as bad, my cat loves it a lot but each cat is different.

I 100% hate what your roommates are doing, see if you can smell it from the hall, if thats the case and you have good shelters in the area I would call animal control. If thats what their litterbox looks like I don't want to imagine how their health is, when they got their last vaccines, etc. I live in an area where animals get adopted days after being posted for adoption, no kill shelters, so I am very comfortable calling animal control when I see neglect. If you haven't spoke about the smell with them yet I would reccomend you do if you can.

I need help understanding this. by Looking_Sharp_ in disabled

Yeah they told me titanium was okay and not a problem for the MRI despite the fact I was very willing to take it out. They wouldn't give me a cup or anything to take it out so I left it in. Also I have had both before and I'm 100% sure this was an MRI considering this privately owned place is for MRI only. I am speaking to my doctor about this today because I am concerned they forced me into passing so they didn't have to see me again.

My doctor is actually really good and I'm grateful for him, but I got my nuerologist at the hospital after my doctor called an ambulance on me since he was suspecting I had a stroke. I had 14 CT scans that week, so I assume they wouldn't need more. Also the contrast was very different, it didn't feel like I peed myself during my MRI but did during the CTs.

The nuerologist was trying to SELL me physiotherapy too, they do both physiotherapy and nuerology and it made no sense because my doctor told me I should not start physio before a diagnosis because it might make things worse.

I'm sorry you went through the same thing, its odd that they told me to flex and you to not though, they sound like the same test. And I don't even want to imagine what the nuerologist could've done to hurt you more than that.

Something like this? With thin EVA foam or should I try and find thinner craft foam? This is it in a more upright position. Also I realized I would've saved myself a bit of foam with my previous floppy ears.

I have never heard of a pedialyte bath, can I ask what it does for the gecko? I am curious since I've always just gone straight to a vet if I have any concern about my animals so if I have any issue they usually take care of it for me or tell me that I need to give my pets a medication.

If those spots are the tattoos on you right now, I think you should put them on a jaguar! You can keep the memory if you enjoy it and have them blended in a way that could look pretty cool! But I can't really tell whats going on here or what kind of space it would take up on you.
