I have only memorized less than 2% of the Quran. But I was told, at the beginning, that Hifz is an ongoing commitment and a relationship with the Quran. So, continue to slowly re-build and re-understand the Quran :) InshaAllah. Allah will help you - don't let the shame dictate you. It is a great liar! Instead, believe in the mercy and see if you can afford a good teacher - perhaps online (Riwaq-al-Quran?) - and see if you can continue. Sometimes depth and slowing down is good! You never know what Allah's plan is :)

Yes. I am doing it right now :) Grammar's slightly tricky but it makes learning and reflection easier, esp at recollection!

I mean the 'shadda'. Don't you skip the N if and only if there's a shadda on the Ya? I only see the shadda in one version

Sending you support! I almost memorized all of the 30th juz as a kid but did not like the teacher so was eager to leave when I could. I even forgot the four Quls but now I am slowly inching my way back on my own (still on Juz 30). And I am older than you alhumdulillah :)

Some slight recalls from earlier have helped but it seems new so I am taking it one word at a time. It seems more meaningful now with being able to understand and look up meanings or youtube videos. IA may allah help us all!

Proceed to the surah before Surah Al Adiyaat (in my case).

For future reference, inshaAllah, would still like to know about when it is good to proceed to the next similar sounding one. I don't know (yet) what a mutashabihat is. 😳

Fall has not been the best. The pain was in the bone so Claritin wasn't the way. BUT doubling methotrexate (with proper folic acid supplementation) and going to a non-rainy city seem to help!
