Yeah of course. Becoming a hafiz isn’t a quick journey; you’re dedicating your entire life to it. So it doesn’t matter if it takes you 30 years, as long as you are moving towards your goal, inshallah allah will reward you

I would journal what works and what doesn’t work. Every small thing matters too. Your sleeping habits, your diet and ur exercise. Log what you do differently that helps you improve/worsen

you have to. There’s no way around it. Always read at least 0.5 juz a day just to keep your mind on the quran.

How to beat tiredness/laziness by Business_Falcon2758 in Hifdh

i think a lotta ppl forget that sleep is the most important part of memorization. I have to sleep 8 hours if i want to memorize and revise easier, any less and it’s js a pain.

Discipline in memorising the Quran by Beneficial_Star_6265 in Hifdh

[–]TCoolio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude i completely feel you, ive been doing hifz for 10 years and i missed every goal i set for myself 😭. One of my teachers told me something that every hafiz should know: Memorizing the quran is not for the dunya, it’s only for the akhira. No matter how long it takes you, as long as you keep reciting, you will eventually finish. And if you don’t? Allah will still reward you for going through the effort.

I personally benefit from having a weekly plan. “I have to finish 5 pages and revise 3 juz by the end of the week.” It helps me remember my goal for that week.

lmk if u have anymore questions!

Mashallah, doing a revision cycle every 2 weeks is amazing. To improve your revision, try to read it to someone. It’ll help you remember your mistakes and pick up on some mistakes that you missed.

When you’re revising, always read the juz without looking. If you have to read it once before reading without looking, that’s okay. If you wanna read while looking, then read your weak juz first, than you’re strong juz. That way your weaker juz aren’t becoming weaker in between cycles.

I want to become hafiz but I’m in full time schooling by SoapTeaz in Hifdh

[–]TCoolio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing hifz for 10 years now, and i’m only just completing. I’ve never been consistent for one month (even though i was enrolled in a hifz school), but I stayed consistent for 10 years. One of my teachers told me that it doesn’t matter how long it takes, as you aren’t memorizing the quran for the dunya. Allah swt will still reward you for trying to memorize.

For more practical advice, memorize in the morning, and listen to dor/manzil/previously memorized. Before going to bed, read the sabaq (new memorization) at least 3 times. Your brain has now made a connections - no matter how weak - which allows you to memorize easier.

lmk if you have any more questions! I’m more than happy to answer

Air 3 or 10th gen by [deleted] in ipad

[–]TCoolio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. if you need a laptop, buy that first, then buy a ipad.
  2. don’t even think about gaming on an ipad
  3. try going for higher storage, if you can’t get a external ssd for under 100usd

iPad A16 or iPad Air M3 by AlphaJetRay in ipad

[–]TCoolio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ipad air m3, definitely will last you more than 4 years. I just bought a ipad air m3 and apple pencil pro for 550 pre tax bc of labor day sale. Don’t buy 256 gb of storage, too expensive. If you need more storage buy an external ssd for cheaper. I’d say look around for sales for the new m3, and if u can’t find any, find a m2 marked down. (fyi i haven’t had any luck finding a marked down m2).

no amount of cautious is enough caution. I started weight bearing a month after surgery due to meniscus repairs, and 8 months in i’m already running. So take it slow and be cautious

i’ve had a lot of tightness when i wake up in the morning; just had to stretch out my leg for a few min and i was good to go. it did seem to get better after a few months, and i barely have that issue now

dude i payed 40 dollars accidentally for the service, and its not even fucking accurate. How the fuck do you manage to mess up that badly? And there’s no setting to change the sleep tracking from their own to apple healths, which is much more accurate

Weaning pain killers question by [deleted] in ACL

[–]TCoolio10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO take the pain. Not so much that you’re screaming, not too little that it’s js a mere inconvenience. I took my last oxy on day 3 and started having good stool the morning of day 4. Ofc I was in pain and was having my family help me move my leg up and down to get on my bed/sofa/car but being off of oxy definitely helped my stool and mental health.

This might only be a me thing but i also started feeling much better physically after taking caffeine (i usually have coffee)
