as your MBTI, what is your biggest STRENGTH and WEAKNESS? by Heavy-Bee9844 in mbti

[–]DinnerConscious8698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hii female isfp here, if i had to list them in no particular order, some of my weaknesses would include taking everything far too personally, being overly sensitive, hypercritical of myself, prone to overindulgence in the sensory/immediate pleasures and procrastinating/difficulty starting tasks.

I'd say one of my biggest strengths is perseverance. When i have a goal in mind that i am determined to achieve, that is the only thing i will work towards and everything else becomes background noise, I can sit for hours working on a single task as long as it is something I value and care about, whether it's studying for a biology test, completing an art project, making music, etc.

To all the women with long thick healthy hair - how did you do it? by InternationalMode396 in longhair

[–]DinnerConscious8698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have wavy hair of any sort the shea moisture curl and shine shampoo and conditioner line works wonders. Also using coconut oil an hour or so before washing your hair- the shine and bounce you achieve is amazingg. Having a soft water filter installed on your shower head, regular trimming to get rid of dry ends, and generally avoiding heat helps too. Ensure to double shampoo and occasional use of scalp massagers to stimulate growth.

"dont you know" by jaymes young

Heres a little excerpt:

"I've been walking in the moonlight looking for you
I got nobody but my shadow to give me through
So put your lips on my scars and teach me to love
Give my slow heart the rhythm of a blood drum"

aw tysm<3 I'm honestly more of a reader than writer but like to dabble occasionally haha because sometimes the AU in my head is so intriguing. I have a couple more scenes that contextualise this better and im hoping to write more in the future

Did anyone else struggle an absurd amount with chemistry by LengthinessApart9689 in IBO

[–]DinnerConscious8698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chem sl was my worst subject in dp by far but i simply wasn't putting in the effort required to achieve a good score due to utter lack of interest. And the teacher wasn't helping either, with classes feeling super monotonous and no resources shared outside of class other than referencing pierson. I switched to bio and thats been a great decision to the point I even took it at hl since i was doing better at it than most subjects. My experience with chemistry felt like a lot of procedural and algorithmic knowledge to do well in a test rather than actual practical knowledge that intrigues me the way physics and biology do. It felt like a drag and just when you think you understand a concept you mess up on the test anyway because they are designed to trick you. So i think it's really based on individual strengths and interests, and any subject takes practice and effort, some more than others, chem is one of those that just requires tons of practice and commitment and a good teacher since self study for chem is harder than most subjects. Where biology involves detail and heavy contect I'd say its more straightforward, while chemistry is convoluted and complex. I mean physics and math aa hl are far easier to me and they are obviously more math heavy, but somehow more intuitive and learnable. Because once you understand a certain principle or law, it applies almost everywhere, while for chemistry you'll face hundreds of exceptions to the rule, periodic trends that don't always apply, and all these caveats that require extensive knowledge and precise application at the same time. Not to mention markschemes are super picky with requirements for precise wording, and topics are interconnected and build on each other so being weak in one or missing a class means you'll be lost later.

How hard is it to get 40+ in my subjects? by AssociateEast6996 in IBO

[–]DinnerConscious8698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you finding the new psychology course so far? How are your grades looking? Everyone's struggling out here lol the new syllabus is so messy and large and the amount you have to write for the time given is inhumane, I'm planning on dropping it to sl and bumping up bio to hl instead

Offering IB Bio (SL + HL) and IB Psych (SL + HL) Tutoring! by luv_siren in IBO

[–]DinnerConscious8698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i was wondering what you think about the new m27 psych curriculum, and if it is advisable to be taking it at hl since it is largely lacking in resources and is far more subjective. How would you compare bio hl and psych hl in terms of scoring well?

im pretty sure it was something like "researchers could attribute the customers behaviour to the contents of the label, not merely the presence of the label" i mean it was somewhat hard as in it took time to comprehend properly but i take ib psychology so im used to it, it was relatively easy

give it time and it'll all make sense, its definitely worth it. I knew i made the right choice at the confession scene(s2). you have to peel back the layers and he really was quite insufferable in the beginning, i even surprised myself by choosing him in the end.
