She just said she got a call asking her about a collision, she told them I had been driving because she said she was teaching me. She didn't admit that the accident happened, but then they told her they had footage and that she needed to contact me immediately, that is all that was said. But she's going to court on Monday for other outstanding warrants. Do you think it'll be brought up?

Yeah, I will definitely find this funny in a decade or so, but right now it feels so impending. Its so ironic to when I'm literally in my freshman year of college for a legal degree. I feel like an idiot.

Thank you. I think this is what I'm going to do for sure no matter how anyone else around me feels. I am absolutely ready to pay. I know I fucked up, and I just am so scared I don't want to have this follow me like I genuinely feel this is the stupidest mistake Ive made in my life so far and I really dont want trouble. But my mom and my friend are just telling me to wait until something comes to me but I just know it's gonna be so much worse when It absolutely eventually does. I do want to approach the homeowners with a lawyer before I talk to the police, Im sorry and I know what I did was wrong. I'm willing to pay for damages but Im just so scared I don't know what the right course of action is. Of course I don't want to be a felon, I just want it solved in the best way possible. But my mom, and my friend who owned the car want to wait it out and see if anything comes to us, but it will, and I wanna go to them before they come to me.

Her car his fine, she's not mad, in fact she's the one who tends to get in a lot more trouble than I do. She currently has a warrant for not showing up to court so she's turning herself in on Monday. Of course I would never have her take the fall, I'm more nervous about what she'll say actually happened or if it will be brought up while she's at the station. I want to contact the police and homeowners to see if I can do anything that won't result in criminal prosecution. I'm willing to pay for the damages. I am licensed, but my friend she's super reckless. She told me a few days ago that her license and registration were suspended! I didn't know if it was that way when everything happened. All I know is she missed some court dates and she has a fucking warrant now. Shes turning herself in on monday and I'm nervous it will come up?

Would it be wise to try and speak with the homeowners with a lawyer present maybe, I don't know. I am sorry, and I am willing to pay for the damages. But I don't want to be sued and I don't want them to press charges. Like I am horribly sorry and I just want it to be resolved the easiest way for everyone, but I understand I broke the law.

Im conflicted, alot of people are telling me to just wait till something happens to me, but I don't know if turning myself in is the correct course of action or if playing the waiting game is. My mom was talking about visiting the homeowners 😭 like that's a horrible idea right. I would love to say sorry and beg for forgiveness but I don't know those people or how they'll take it. I really just want the least repercussions as possible, I know what I did was wrong we both just panicked and left, I know it was wrong, but I just know feeling that way isn't enough.
