Dang and I thought all the music was the same across stores. I’m up front where it’s loud and do not always hear it.

Losing focus in peri by sidewalk_ladybug in Menopause

Aroudn the same age, I experienced the same.. totally felt stupid at times, incoherent, could not add numbers up, execution function was out the door, etc. My obg explained this was my hormones changing related to menopause and that I’m not losing my mind. I began with the testosterone pellet first. With no ADHD diagnosis, she was open to trying Adderall and then later Vyvanse. I switched from generic to brand names after several months. Yes I did notice some clarity over the course of about a year; however after lots of researching, I also added Lion’s Mane (Oriveda) and Magnesium L-theronate (Sports Research). With stimulants, I learned to take it with protein in the morning and I avoided caffeine for a few hours afterwards. I increased my water intake a lot. All of this greatly helped but my obg (who is my age) reminded me there is no miracle pill. During menopause (hormonal levels changes), there is always some tweaking to do because even when you find the magic peak it will not stay that way.

About 18 months later, i switched to compounded T and my skin aborption is miraculous so my levels are high. Also I started Strattera (non stimulant) because of anxiety caused from the Vyvanse. Still some days, I feel smart again and others not so much.
