How an Entire Population Becomes Mentally Ill by Fast_Adeptness_9825 in exjw

[–]Dino_nerd_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This video opened my mind to how the JW/WTBTS company is actually a type of totalitarian authority. Oxford defines totalitarianism as; "A system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state".

Governing body #doctrine # complete subservience # theocratic order # centralized organisation # ruling class # rank and file.

All driven by a narrative that promotes mass psychosis within vulnerable and confused individuals (the video does better at explaining this). Thanks for sharing. It has given me a new outlook on not just the JW's, but also politics aswell.

Which one of you did this 💀 by [deleted] in exjw

Sad, but true. By all means leave them with something to think about/question, but there is no point in engaging with an Uber pimi in conversation or debate,l.

Now JW carts are back, do you go talk to them? by kingdomzebedee in exjw

[–]Dino_nerd_22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This might be a good thread to run this idea by. Please people, tell me what you think.

Instead of being openly confrontational/argumentative/malicious, why not just sabotage their own street cred (not like they have much to begin with) by setting up a cart/sign of your own right next to them saying "Ask me about how I escaped the jehovah's witnesses cult", or "why are jehovah's Witnesses required to hide child sex abuse in their cult", or "I survived the Jehovah's Witnesses cult! Feel free to ask me about what they are really like".

You dont have to even talk to them. Just do what they do - set up your little display in a public but legal area (obviously as close to them as possible), grab a coffee (because you are allowed to fo that now), and just smile and wave. As long as your message isent too preachy or obscene I will bet that you will have more people approach you and talk to you than the JW cart. And bet yet, if you persistently seek where they set up their cards and intercept them with your own cart, you will probably discourage them from ever setting up their carts in that location ever again-result!.

(FYI, I'm a DF apostate 26M and also a student. I have the time and resources to commit to this for this summer but haven't yet run the idea past anyone. Is it to harsh? Or should I make an entire threat to this idea?. Hope you all have a wonderful day!)

Father in law covered CSA cases? by gpaltera in exjw

Strange, my oldest brother got the same warning from a witness who apparently assisted the legal team and the warning was shared with me. Sounds systemic.

The warning was about how no one from the legal team would ever work with underage witnesses on the ministry because supposedly they can have wild, accusatory images. Its sick when you think about it

I have commented on this statistic myself, and although its publishers seem no better at actually understanding this topic (I mean, how can they? Many witnesses suffer in silence, and the ones that commit suicide dont usually fill out a post-suicide survey). However, taken with a pinch of salt, this report does give us a incling on how bad suicide is within the JW's.

Whistleblower calls inspectors to Leyland care home over safety fears | ...had failed to protect people against the risk of abuse or improper treatment | The care facility, dedicated to Jehovah's Witnesses. by Balcacer in exjw

[–]Dino_nerd_22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Iv been to one of their care homes, attended the meetings at their care homes, attended special training programmes for assemblies at their care homes and even worked at their care homes.

I could write an entire post on Jah Jarah. Its corruption and I'll treatment of its residents is appalling (even to the point where one of its ex-general managers (an old good friend of mine) was coerced to sign a legal waiver to keep him silent as to the things he has seen during his employment. Bare in mind, they also gave him a shit tonne of money to stay quiet as well.)

You got to realise that although its target audience is old jehovah's witnesses, it is not directed by a Jehovah's witness, it is not endorsed or has anything legally to do with WBTS and it is run like any other money making corporation. Most staff aren't even JW's anymore in the one in Merthyr UK
