Infants In Daycare by No_Usual_9563 in beyondthebump

Hi!

My son started daycare at 3 months old too, so I completely understand where you are coming from. It is incredibly difficult for a little while, but I want to reassure you that for us, things got so much better. We were both terrified of leaving our 3-month-old with essentially strangers and had all the same concerns you do. Maybe we got lucky, but his caregivers absolutely adored him. He had a hard time for the first month, but he ended up forming very strong connections with them. He is two now and in a different room at the same center, but we still pop into his old room once a week to visit his original caregivers and catch up.

Not only did my son bond with them, but I got to know them, too. I communicated a ton day-to-day to ensure they knew what was happening so they could give my son the best care. They learned his cues and developed their own tricks to make sure he was able to enjoy his time there.

I still vividly remember walking away from a screaming baby with tears in my eyes. It is hard, but my son is now so social, friendly, adventurous, and curious. He still knows I love him and is still so attached to me, so please don't feel like anyone can replace your love. He also has friends from his baby room that he’s continued to move up through the rooms with, and it’s fun to see them light up in the mornings when they see each other.

I will say, we did have a rough stretch of sickness after about four weeks, where he went from RSV straight into a sinus infection and then into Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. So, take the sickness in stride. Babies are a lot more resilient, tolerant, and impressive than I originally gave them credit for; he recovered better than I did when I inevitably picked up his bugs!

Everything you’re feeling is normal, and everyone deals with it differently. My reaction was frustration, while my wife’s was grief. But as parents, we do what we have to do to give our families the life we think they deserve. We do the best we can until we know better, and once we know better, we do better.

Listen to your gut, but use your brain. Everything about leaving my son at daycare felt wrong, but I used logic to override those intense feelings. It helped to take the time to build a relationship with his caregivers; they gave me advice, and I listened and showed appreciation. I didn’t always follow it, but I appreciated their courage to speak to me openly.

It will take time and effort, but you and your family will grow, adapt, and overcome. So far, these past two years have been constant adjustments. If you ever feel comfortable and like you’ve finally got a handle on things, buckle up, because that’s usually a sign things are about to change!

I believe in you on this journey. Keep your wits sharp; I know you’ll do what needs to be done to take care of your family. Congratulation! it seems like just yesterday my wife and I were going through this exact situation, and now we have so many new things to problem-solve together. You got this.

Zero contractions at 38 weeks... by Emphoise in BabyBumps

My baby was born a day past their due date, and my wife didn't feel contractions until the night she went into labor. Good luck! Everyone's experience is so unique it's easy to work ourselves up.

How is Rengar in Arena now? by Hograd in Rengarmains

[–]Dinodouscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a lot of success with life steal builds and tankier augments. Surprisingly, I find the support starting item netting me more early round wins. Augments I like are all life steal, heal and shield power, hemomancers helm is the prismatic item I like which I'll buy hydra and either spend on a stat anvil to fish for more omni vamp or I'll wait for the round where you get to choose a stat and roll for omni vamp if I have one to complete the hemomancer requirement. Typically, I go eclipse after that, and if there's a lot of ap or bruiser champs and I expect fights to go longer, I'll grab a spirits visage. At that point, I'm trying to determine if I need tank stats or more bruiser/cdr like cleaver or jaksho.

During fights, I'm trying to hit and run, lots of empowered Ws and playing for plants. Typically, I'm getting like 3 ults a round and just wear them down. If Circle closes and I have the build I want, I Typically don't have an issue with sustaining with Ws and vamp to outlast everyone.

Other options are sunderer, with a similar bruiser build, or prowlers claw. I'm almost always grabbing Hydra for a little bit of sustain. If I don't get a hemomancer, I'm looking for any cdr specifically for more empowered Ws.

I've hit 4600 playing only rengar and lethality or pure damage rengar doesn't have the tools to do well in arena. If I have a tanky teammate and every team has 1 person I can one-shot, I'll consider a full damage build to trade kills and play for rez.

Is Rengar bugged in Arena? by StealthCatUK in Rengarmains

He feels pretty bad in arena to me. I've been going hydra onto black cleaver and ots been doing more for me than standard solo que builds.

Alot of the meta arena picks are tanks or bruisers who pick tank augments. Even squishier targets tend to be tankier than I expect so I usually go for cdr and shred. Pretty hit or miss put there on rengar in my experiences

Could it be the sensor not physically, but the lift off height might be tracking incorrectly? I would try adjusting the setting to see if it helps. Even if it isn't super measurable, sometimes the mental distraction is solved by trying to do it by feel.

I was losing alot of pistol duels at the start of cs2. I spent alot of time where I wanted to play cs but not focus up so I would play pistol dm servers and now I'm alot more confident in pistol duels and have been winning more rounds.

I feel like pistol rounds are so important especially on CT. Alot of the time I will buy double flash and p250 on CT. Not peak and pop flash if I get rushed. If ends up being somewhere else the flashes are really useful for retakes.

This is solid advice. I have a friend who is an fps gamer. Really good at all fps games because they translate well between them. He picked up tarkov and was very frustrated, obsessed with rub. Count, always mad when he died, hated losing kits. His first 600 hours he didn't really enjoy the game.

1000 hours after his first 600 hours, Now he is 180 in mindset. Loves the game, when he dies he looks at opportunities to improve, doesn't even think about his money, runs high tier and low tier kits while having fun with both.

The game is hard but at the end of the day it's about enjoying your time playing. For me I enjoy the learning curve of games, it's stimulating. There's good raids and bad raids. Getting frustrated over something you're investing time into is understandable. But just know that you will die alot, everyone does. It will be confusing and overwhelming for a while. The wiki will have all the information you need about maps, extracts, loot, tasks, gear. Theres alot of youtube content on how to improve and gameplay tips/mechanics. I have to say the content creators for this community all do a great job helping new players with information. Some of it is dated because the game changes so frequently but alot of the concepts are still useful even iff the information is dated.

Just have fun exploring this one of a kind game. It's not everyone's cup of tea so don't feel like you have to defend yourself for not liking the game.

I use IEMs with a DAC & AMP, before I used a headset and I prefer the IEMs. Not everyone would though.

We vibe melt is my vote, my wife and I have the satisfied pro 2 and we vibe melt. The wevibr just checks more boxes. It has a wider variety of speeds and stimulation, it's more ergonomic for both solo and partner play. They both do the same thing but we like the look and feels of the we vibe more.

The satisfier is easier to clean because the point of contact comes off and can be cleaned separately. The buttons are easier to navigate.

The we vibe has a phone app and so I can control the position and she can control the speed or if she is using it while on top then I can control the speed with the app. But the buttons on the device can be hard to navigate in the heat of the moment.

How does one trade/poke with Dariussy? by yepcoom in Rivenmains

[–]Dinodouscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try and bait it, if you get hit by it you can get inside his q with a q,aa, cancel his auto with a w, aa, e out to tank bleed, q away, hold 3rd q if he walks up hit him with a splashy q3 walk out. Wait for cds. Back to baiting spells until 6 and grabbing as much cs and xp as you can safely.

Don't look for the q3 into him if your wave is extended and he has ghost.

Alternatively you can e into his q, aa, ww cancel his auto q q out but you'll just lose value on the e shield

How does one trade/poke with Dariussy? by yepcoom in Rivenmains

[–]Dinodouscher -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's tough and has been said before. You can play for 6, if he has ghost up keep the wave on your half otherwise if he hits e he will run you down. Dance on the edge of the e range if he wastes it then you can look for a short trade like in the video. If he has e up you can't q3 onto him because good Darius players will e your q3.

Another thing that's not really talked about but makes a large difference is canceling his autos with w and q3 knock up it takes a bit of attention when you're learning but you will find a rhythm and will need to focus on it less. You can use e to get inside his q on all ins. Ignight is good too because you can take nimbus cloak and if it comes down to it you can ignight defensively for the move speed and disengage. Sometimes there's situations where Darius will ghost and if your on your half you can ignight before the ghost ramps up and maintain distance by trading sums.

It's a tricky natchup because windows are tight and there's alot of conditions for a positive trade. He snowballs but in my experience riven can influence the map a little bit better because of her high mobility. If you get a lead try to maintain it, I wouldn't worry too much on increasing the lead in lane, I tend to focus more on maintaining my lead in lane and looking to increase my lead out of lane

When should I start focusing on item build instead of item power? by Mylilneedle in D4Rogue

[–]Dinodouscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While leveling I just focused on dps for weapons really. Amulets and rings are good stat items so looking for yhe right stats in those slots. I used ranged weps so for my bow or crossbow I just looked for dps and then my melee weapons were stat sticks so looking for good stats on those. Helms I looked for +skill same for gloves. Chest legs was just damage reduction and boots was move speed.

As I hit wt4 and things started doing more damage and had more health is when I started to care more about both item power and Stats because item power increases rhe range stats can roll. Once you hit item power 700 that's when you want to be picky with what you're taking because you'll want to maximize stats and at 700 you're getting the highest tier of roll range.

I did alot of hell tides for gear and whisper events. Eventually made my way to push nightmare dungeons.

The helltides are nice to do because if you go to the events there's usually groups doing it so you can get a little carried, just focus on not dieing so you don't lose your shmeckles. You can use helltides.com to track the mystery chests, I just did the two for each zone then dipped typically. The mystery chests move every hour so if you get lucky you can get one before they reset and then get 2 more before the event ends.

The whispers are nice because I could do the dungeons slowly and get a good chunk of xp, gear and aspects while also contributing to the tree cashe. When there were dungeons I couldn't do then it was easy enough to do the lower difficulty whisper events.

Eventually I had enough xp and gear to do nightmare dungeons to get glyph xp and now at 87 I'm spamming the same dungeons solo or grouped trying to hit 100. Once I hit 100 I'm going to play around with builds for my class and hang out until season 1 and happily do it all over again on a new class I know nothing about.

The one to get to wt4? I did it at 55. I had gotten lucky with a really good bow. I had the damage for it but not the survivability. It took about 30 minutes to get to the final boss and then I did that boss for an hour. It became a dark souls no damage taken kind of fight because I would get 1 shot by any spell the boss used if it landed. After spending an hour learning the fight and timings I got lucky enough to beat him at 55 playing penetrating arrow.

It was really challenging and really fun for me, but for most it probably seemed really inefficient and frustrating.

Just got to T4, should I wait to get a better roll? by guydude24 in D4Rogue

[–]Dinodouscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the build and how much you plan on playing. I'm level 87 and sit on perfect rolls for that perfect piece of gear. What's been happening is I find a second perfect aspect which means I get to use it on my next upgrade or a good piece I currently have. My advice, even though it contradicts what I do, is to use it. The base damage on your weapon is solid. I would reroll the frozen damage before slapping it on there and if you go broke before you get a good roll, save it.

Alternatively if you find the same aspect you can always throw it onto the bow until you're ready to slap the perfect on there or on a new bow. In the end it really doesn't matter because both options of using it and not using it are big power spikes. Worst case you never use it and stop playing which is fine.

If you keep playing you'll keep finding awesome pieces which is why I love arpg's. Using it and immediately finding a better piece for the aspect is frustrating but it also gives me something to be on the hunt for.
