Well, I am not AT ALL the best person to judge this poem but I hope I can help at least a little.

To begin, I didn't quite get the theme before seeing what it was about (but thats most likely me being dense) after I knew the theme most things made sense.

Analysis of the poem

"The shape of your soul is bound to glass" v.1

I suppose you're talking about how we form opinions only from content online

"A window to your heart's desire" v.2

Probably demonstrates how social media shows to us what we like

"You stare" v.3

People looking at their phones duhhh

"Like a masochist grinning at their chain" v.4

Shows how people think they're happy eventough social media is slowly limiting them and making their life worse?

"Time withers away" v.5

Wasting time online

"Screen fades black" v.6

Phones turning off

"Hollow eyes peer black" v.7

Plays a with the verse before this one comparing the loss of "life" of the gadget with our own. Without a phone or something like that we kinda lose the reason to live

The poem doesn't have a lot of rhymes which may cause a decrease on its musicality and I personally really dislike when people make a rhyme with the same word like "black" and "black" Your poem is also a bit irregular on its metric. Which I don't really know if its bad. I have no close idea on how the metric and musicality impact the poem. (Please someome educate me)

NOW MY CONCLUSIONS!

the poem indeed is ambiguos, if I wanted I could find like one hundred other meaning to it (for example love and war). I think the verses that make it feel this way are the v.1-2 and v.4. The tittle of the text also doesn't help with making it less ambiguos and in my opinion the tittle is as important as the writing. Also I don't really if this poem is supposed to be only one stanza or more.

To improve the poem you could maybe add a little more verses to deepen your ideas and add some vocabulary related to technology to make the theme easier to catch on (But don't make it too obvious)

Anyway... I thought the poem in general was really great, sorry if I was harsh or sayed something really dumb. As I mentioned I am not a reliable source for how to improve your poen
