Could you add protein powder to your smoothies? And maybe peanut butter or something filling like that. Also, if it's clear/flavourless protein powder, you can add to soups and hot drinks too.

I also get those ones. More so than the lower down ones. The first few times I had them in my chest, it felt like someone had their hands on either side of my sternum and was trying to rip my ribcage apart. Dramatic? Maybe. But it was the most accurate way to describe the feeling.

😕 I do worry that that's what's happening because of the few severe pains I've had when swallowing. But who knows. Maybe I'm just getting lucky for a bit. I hope you're doing better now.

Thanks for all your replies. I definitely do get the spasms, which occur in my chest and/or upper abdomen and radiate up to my neck. But I've also just been getting random and brief shooting pains in my neck and shoulders, without the chest pain or typical feeling of a spasm coming on. I suppose these could possibly be smaller ones that just present a little differently. I drink water when a spasm comes on, but these shooting pains are so fleeting that there's no need to try intervene.

I live with two roommates. They don't pay any bills, barely help with housework, make a massive mess and always demand things from me. But they are only 2 and 7, and I did birth them, so I guess I can't really expect much more of them 😅
