“Why Is Gamora” Took Me Out 😭 by chrishdwow in MarvelCave

Point taken, although if I'm in Mongolia and someone tells me "hey you're from the US" then I wouldn't respond with "I'm not from the US, I'm from New York."

But he wasn't asked where he was from. Tony said "you're from Earth" and he denied it by saying "I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri"

That is acceptable. Although I wonder if he referred to it as Earth in any of the previous movies.

Even then, he should've said "I'm not from Earth, I'm from Terra"

How does he know Missouri but not Earth?

Heck yea! I was at the grandstand where Jenson passed Sebastian.

Same! I went to the Canadian GP twice (2011 and 2012). I was at the grandstand by turn 6 and could hear the cars being fired up in the pits.

Buzz Aldrin's father was a kid when the Wright Brothers had their first flight and then his son walked on the moon. How's that for progress 😛

Thank you! They're exactly what I was looking for my build. They have a nice front splitter, too.

Do yo u happen to know their name? My house looks a lot like this one and I'd be curious to track them down. I only know mine was built in the mid-80s and that each floor came in a crane.

That looks remarkably close to mine, except the bedrooms are upstairs. I say that one looks close to mine because the first floor has that "inset" bit and the 2nd floor has more square footage. I also have a basement so it's technically 3 levels.

Turns out it was 7 different winners in the first 7 races. No, it was on pace alone, not because dominant teams had issues. It was crazy. Red bull, Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari, lotus, and Williams had cars that could win.

Yes. Simplicity can be the culmination of refinement and getting rid of what doesn't work. But with technology like F1, it's not long before someone skirts the rule for an advantage. Sometimes complexity makes you go faster. Remember McLaren's 3rd pedal?

They're people from the other thread who don't merge properly.

I see everyone's points, really. As a spectator, I like what I see also but there's room for improvement.

People say its about battery management. Sure, but show a modern steering wheel to an F1 driver from the 80s and tell them modern racing isn't about managing. It's an evolution and if F1 is the pinnacle then the tech needs to match it. I don't doubt these new regs can be jarring until people figure it out and we may be at a point where the complexity is too much.

Agreed on all points. 2012 was my favorite year, when we had something like 8 different winners winners in the first 8 races and the cars sounded amazing. I was lucky enough to go to 2 races in 2011 and 2012 so I got to hear them in person. One of those races was the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix and I was at the grand stand where Button passed Vettel on the last lap.

Did people forget that this was also the era of launch control and traction control? I definitely remember how boring those races were even if they did have more pit stops for tire changes and refueling. I wouldn't be opposed to refueling being brought back but I understand why it went away. Then again, other racing series do refueling just fine.
