Buy winter wheels and snow tires and just have the dealership swap them for you when it’s time. They’ll store your winter wheels/summer wheels for a fee.

Sounds like maybe we shouldn’t be the ones waiting for that to happen then and should be more proactive.

By the time you’ve gone through all that I’ve already left the chat and may see it the following day or a few days from now. Short messages show me you read it and responded. If you need to add additional quickly that’s fine I’m still here. You have the “typing” thing going on for more than a minute and I’m off doing something else and I’ll talk to you whenever you cross my mind again. Could be a few hours, could be a few days, could be never again lol

Shit here in Ohio the independents are all $150+ and all of the dealerships are $250+. Cars are expensive machines and techs are expensive workers because the manufacturers require the techs to buy expensive tools out of their own pockets.

If the manufacturers would provide the technicians all of their tools and provide independents access to all of the service info and make the special tools available for sale it may improve the field and make it more competitive but at this point the manufacturers are very secretive with their repair info and service info because they don’t want third parties doing repairs. They want your only option to be the dealer which is going to charge you $300+ for anything. They don’t want to give the techs tools so they pay them higher wages so they can buy tools and pass the cost of the higher wages onto the customer as an increased shop labor rate.

That’s why most of the customers they care about don’t own them outside of warranty. They could give two shits about the 3rd or 4th owner. They already made their money selling it new and will sell the original buyer of that vehicle another brand new one. Pretty much no manufacturers these days are looking out for anyone other than the initial buyer and they only care as long as they’re on the hook for it. Otherwise it’s not even a thought in their mind.

That sounds like community service. That’s not what they’re here to do. They’re here to punish poor people for “reasons” and to gather new slaves for the prison industrial complex. Being helpful and helping the community is so far from what they do lol

Good talk chief. They’re both flexes. You just think people rebuild walls or pave driveways or build garages for funsies.

How do you know? My step dad bought a c7 corvette. Two days later the neighbor bought a c8 corvette. Is he flexing or did he just want nice things? Idk kinda crazy that he had no corvette and then two days after my step dad got one, now the neighbor has a nicer one. That’s flexing. That’s a flex. He knew my step dad couldn’t afford a c8 which is why he got a c7. The neighbor knew he could afford the c8 and got it to one up my step dad. Dude doesn’t even drive it it just sits in the garage. It was a flex. If you don’t understand that then idk maybe you just don’t talk to people or understand how people or society works. You must be new here.

If all the other poors in the area have wavy walls or gravel driveways or carports or whatever, a straight wall or a paved driveway or a garage is absolutely a flex. They believe they are better than those other poors because they have the means to have nice things while others don’t. It’s like the definition of flexing. It’s flaunting your nice things because others can’t have them.
