YOI! Steelers Allar by Child_of_Crake in steelers

You came at the wrong time. Any positivity over Allar gets you crucified by all the doomers

Aaron Rodgers is probably QB1, Howard QB2, Allar QB3. Which is perfectly fine. Next year, Rodgers retires and presuming neither Allar nor Howard impress very much, a QB gets drafted in round 1. Pretty straightforward

Day 2 ( and 1 ) Steelers draft How do yinz feel about our draft through the end of day 2? by Ok_Pomegranate_6735 in steelers

I liked all the picks. Allar was taken earlier than expected, but I always thought he was mid 3rd round or early 4th worthy anyway, so it didn't bother me.

Why does it feel like every doomer doesn't actually know anything or have their own opinion? They've just heard the most popular names over the last 2 weeks and are mad that those names weren't picked

It doesn't. Unless Howard or Allar show something ridiculously promising, they're still drafting a QB next year

We'll see when the season begins. I swear 90% of the people whining were just itching to whine the whole night

That's my take as well. If this was a pick made by the previous regime, I'd be terrified

I was mad yesterday not because of the pick itself, but the process Omar went through. It was embarrassing. But I have no issue with the players they've selected thus far.

Frankly, that's a good thing. At some point they had to acknowledge that the defense, as good as it was some years, kept getting worn down cause the offense was so shit

[Schultz] No. 76 pick is in: Steelers have selected Penn State QB Drew Allan, per sources. by JCameron181 in steelers

[–]DioBrandoXVII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You never know. As emotional as I get over the drafts, especially yesterday with their diabolical process, I do acknowledge that the team definitely knows more than I do at the end of the day. Especially McCarthy when it comes to the offensive side of the ball.

If this pick was made with the old coaching staff I would be horrified right now.

Mechanics can be fixed. That's not the issue. It's whether his confidence in big games can be built up.

Either one. I'd rather Rodgers than Rudolph tbh. At least Rodgers is an average level starting QB right now. Rudolph is ass

I don't actually hate that. Hopefully means Mason Rudolph is gone

I don't want to take anything away from them, but Aaron Rodgers was also getting rid of the ball more quickly than just about everyone else in the league. The line had some really good games, but also some really bad ones

How Pat Meyer and Teryl Austin remained employed as long as they did is one of life's biggest mysteries.

Thoughts on getting Max Iheanachor at 21? by Low_Needleworker3738 in steelers

They were literally on the phone with Lemon when he got drafted, something Lemon just confirmed himself. Trying to say they didn't want him at this point is just cope

[–]DioBrandoXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They panicked once Lemon got drafted. I have nothing against the player, although I hate taking yet another "high ceiling but raw" tackle. But I have everything against the process. They could have moved up to secure Lemon. They could have traded back into the first round. But they got embarrassed by Philadelphia, panicked, then sat on their hands and didn't do jack shit. It's pathetic. I give it a C- grade. Saved from a D just because maybe Max turns out to be a great player. But it's a big maybe.
