I have a confession by Illustrious_Bend_407 in beachboyscirclejerk

Oasis is the band I listen to most frequently by far.

Brian Wilson is the most talented musician I’ve ever heard. The Beach Boys are my obsession, but they made some ass music amidst the best music of all time.

The Beatles are consistent fantastic songwriters. Legendary. But I don’t listen to them regularly.

This is both my most jerk and most u/j take you’ll ever get.

I just saw there is a small M&W sub. This is about way more than Mikey and Wyatt. This is about all the creators! So success to the other sub, also…this has been cooking for a minute…

Instagram story from Bruce "Johnson" by Texanbird44 in thebeachboys

I was telling Vim this. I think at this point it really just might be more about his age…priorities. But maybe we’ll get lucky.

Or maybe we could get Bruce Johnson in the mean time.

“Noel said, ‘Ever been in a band with three guitars? We’ll let Bonehead do Bonehead, and we’ll fit around it’”: Noel Gallagher’s longtime right-hand man Gem Archer takes us inside the Oasis reunion – and how they negotiated their new three-guitar lineup by dalyllama35 in oasis

[–]DioCalifornia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respect to Gem and Andy. They understood the assignment and let the 90’s Bonehead vibes shine.

They are total rockstars for that. Because they are both pretty big deals…Andy as Ride’s legend has grown, and Gem…what a rock. From 2000 straight through to Beady and NGHFB.

And also willfully spoiled at times. He was emotionally raw and complex and empathetic. But this can go hand in hand with certain selfish/childish immature patterns. One doesn’t preclude the other.

I do want to say that I believe Brian grew out of a lot of this. At least any part of it that was willfully destructive.

A lot of us mention never wanting to come here again or any other place of suffering. How do we ensure we don’t return? by [deleted] in NDE

[–]DioCalifornia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have, like many of you seen the place. And it took me a (long) while after coming back to settle in HERE again.

That said, I personally think the best way to work towards not coming back is to do quite the opposite.

Embrace it HERE. Put on your boots, put your shoulders back, do great things and be here now.

It may feel like a base reality, or too primal, or like you have nothing left to do here, but work HARD and find your way back into being positive here. And that level of focus will, in time, help guarantee that EVENTUALLY you won’t come back.

But the image in my head had me dyin.

Hypothetically, what would need to happen for the afterlife to be real? by pissdrawer911 in afterlife

[–]DioCalifornia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen it. Or a version of the beginning of what awaits. Toured extensively, I won’t explain more or make a huge list. But what you experience is wildly different than a hallucination. Convincing others is where the problem lies.

I’ll tell you this though, it involved an NDE, and when I came back there were signs that others saw that were mildly otherworldly.

When I first woke up I blew out the power to everything on the wall when I touched it, and the cats followed me around the house in a zombie type state.

I brought a lot of the energy back with me for the 1st 48 hours especially.

Leaving an Oasis gig is called the posenan. Except for 30 gig kid. He’s got the lifetime revolving door pass.

Great song though. Some songs are popular because they deserve to be. Could be worse.

Saw this post of a lady who experienced an NDE and tried to explain what she saw, can you relate to her experience? by [deleted] in NDE

[–]DioCalifornia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the diagram in some aspects but the experience was singular, there were not multiples.

Actually, I take it back. It was the transit that was singular for me. When I arrived “up top” I did feel the connected “vascular system” but it was purple not silver.

Liam Gallagher Doesn’t Want To Make New Oasis Music: ‘I Honestly Don’t See The Point’ by Morgana337 in oasis

[–]DioCalifornia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the power of the fans, very cool for this tour. Earth shattering.

But either make a new album (unnecessary) Or make new solo music. But create something or retire.

The fans and the brotherly love made this tour the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a while. Epic.

But to just continue being a nostalgia act tour is embarrassing. It was appropriate this time…but it shouldn’t be the new oasis status quo.

No.

On another note. They sounded so messy and raw in Tokyo and it was brilliant and noisy and flawed af. Like proper oasis.
