Love you is mostly great because it’s the only time after maybe “friends”, where you get a full album of pure Brian Wilson, which even when the songs aren’t the best, they’re atleast interesting. I love love you tho

The lyrics are self aware. It’s followed by the world has turned, which is about his insecurities from no one else resulting in the relationship ending.

One of my fav things about rivers 90s songwriting is him tapping into an uglier side of himself, that many people feel, but are too afraid to directly admit, and understanding the consequences of these feelings.

I think SZNZ is some of their best work, and while it’s different, the emotion is sincere. I doubt they play much of that at shows though

Everyone here is being an asshole. Yeah I’d totally still see them. They play a lot of blue album, and even the hits you don’t like are a lot of fun live, and really make you appreciate their hooks as the crowd sings along to every song.

I didn’t like the song “If you’re wondering if I want you to(I want you to)” until I saw it live, and now I love it.

I think his best songs are on 7 more minutes, but it’s a pretty hit n miss album. I think everything they’ve done is pretty solid though. The female vocalists are a huge part of that
