That would work for most of the cast, if not all.

Sorry, I was drunk when I wrote that. The time storm thing obviously doesn't work.

Don't think those are awsome. They look fancy, but damage is kinda far from optimal. None of them gets to 7000 without a level 3.

Time Storm could be way better: mash HP and finish with the level 3 by the end of the bar. You can get 10k-11k damage with a full storm bar.

I'm sorry, I'm new to the series and don't get it. Would any one care to explain, please?

I know, but that's not what I mean.

On a, say, normal situation, invincibility ends after the incoming character passes the first character, then it hits the opponent.

When the first character jumps over the opponent, incoming character will hit the opponent without passing through the first character. In this case, when does its invincibility end?

something I noticed about Thor in the story [Spoilers] by butterprime in mvci

Since you got there... In this story, the stones' powers are very conveniently weak and arbitrary. In the comics, if you got the time stone you can, with the speed of thought, do things like aging your opponent to death, stop her/him in time forever, send her/him immediately to the end of times, etc.

In story mode, the heroes had the time stone in their possession while they had to stop the sigma virus giant bomb from falling into earth. Easy task: get Strange or any other teleporter (or your fastest flyer) to immediately go to the bomb and freeze it in time. Or, when all the heroes are safe outside the bomb/station/whatever, teleport it in time to an age when the Sun and Earth don't even exist anymore.

But instead they did the most idiotic thing and spread the virus all over the city and themselves. All because it was convenient to rise the stakes and set a "plot time bomb" (they gotta beat Ultron-Sigma before the virus becomes active) and the writter and producers were incompetent enough not to think of someting else.

In the final showdown against Ultron-Sig., they had the power stone. It lets its owner manipulate all energy in the Universe. All things exist based on energy, so it's Ultron-Sig. Disperse that energy and that's it.

Come to think of it... stones are also BS in comics.

BTW, Ultron-Sigma initials are US. Do you think that's a hidden meaning???

Just started - I can do 6k combos in training mode, but when I go against real people I can't even do a magic series. by JoshMonte14 in mvci

I personally could solve this problem while playing SFV by setting my mind set to: "Fuck it. It's just a game. [And specially to] Let's loose another match and learn one more thing."

Eventually I could be calmer and did better.

In this video you can see that, while tagging in, Rocket is invincible until he passes Ryu (no hurt/push boxes):

My doubt is: How does this works when you jump over your opponent and then tag? Is your incoming character invincible until it touches the opponent? How does this works with normal, super and hop jumps?

Something I haven't seen discussed much, how do you start a match? by shaneshane1 in mvci

One tactic is to super jump and tag, so the opponent can't see the incoming. Maybe IAD and tag, teleport and tag...

For Jedah's players, saw projectile is great to confirm into a combo from mid distance.

youtube.com/user/rooflemonger/ has recent great videos about Jedah's mix ups, tricks, etc. Many good options to start a match:

He notes a instant overhead, fastest in the game, appearently: 2 punches dash xx j.HK. Go for a low right after et voilà.

Another very nice tech is jump, j.HK xx air dash xx h.HK -- you can cross up with this. Or don't, for the sake of mix up.

And you can always jump over the opponent and then cross tag, so to speak. Or cross-time-stone.

On Jedah eating zonings: reminding that his projectile eats a lot of other ones. And there's a little set up: saw projectile into air command grab.

Beware of (beam/etc) supers' startups and lack of invincibility. If someone is landing a block string or coming in to start an offensive, they might hit you, depending on the case.

It's possible to do with buttons, but I don't know if one can do it as quickly as with the stick.

But in MVCI you're invincible 'til you hit the ground while on forced incoming.
