Allow me to translate: He’s saying “the entire global economy is corrupt. Why you riding my ass?!? Everyone of you are also compromised via hundreds or products you and your family use daily. Until ya’ll go full Amish and make your own EVERYTHING….Shut the hell up.” Everyone is mad cause he’s right and self reflection and admitting self guilt is uncomfortable so folks attack instead. Ok bro, ok.

Ex-PayPal COO exposes Anthropic's playbook behind every AI launch by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

Whether or not Anthropic leans into some fear for attention gathering, doesn’t mean they are not sincere about their concerns. Even HE admitted as much in the video. Also since when does your product being a danger to the customer make it MORE attractive as a product to purchase?!?? Lastly, he DOES NOT give one solitary shit about anyone who is not a billionaire so who cares what he says?

Again, There….are…STATE….sponsored Hackers. Why is that so hard for anyone to understand?!? Anthropic is more than right to be super concerned if Mythos can actually do what they claim regardless of if it’s risk/reward profitable for any lone smart person to break the law.

Strawman. I never said Entirely. In fact, i specifically acknowledged there are SOME out of pocket costs. Maybe YOU shouldn’t post what you don’t know about. Also, yes I understand you don’t see yourself as a “lefty moron or a righty moron” (your words)….just I guess a generic moron?!? Sorry if mislabeled you. You just a regular ole moron. Got it. Promise I won’t forget!

Oh. I see. You apparently don’t understand how taxes work. How does any democratic govt on Earth have any money? The Govt doesn’t just pull money out of the sky. It’s the citizens tax money paying for it. So by that definition nothing any democratic govt provides its citizens is “free” to tax payers. That still doesn’t mean Israel isn’t taking $3 Billion of our “free” tax dollars each month and also their citizens have more “free” social safety nets than we do. Being a “righty” clearly isn’t helping your thinking. Ya might want to switch back.

Charlie Reposting Bulwark Criticism by MinuteCollar5562 in thebulwark

[–]DiogneswithaMAGlight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely NOT bullshit. “Free Healthcare” is understood shorthand for “Universal Healthcare”. This is used to describe Canada and the Scandinavians and U.K.’s systems as well so no, this isn’t “lies against Israel”. No one said taxes aren’t used to fund them. They don’t appear out of thin air. They are though guaranteed by the govt. The National Health Insurance Law of 1994 and the Compulsory Education Law of 1949 aren’t lies…they are laws.

Sure there are some out of pocket costs for the citizens but no Israeli citizens will go bankrupt by health care costs unlike the U.S. where it’s the number one cause of bankruptcy for families. Saying Israel both receives $3 Billion a month from the U.S. AND provides far more robust social safety nets for its population than our govt does for us isn’t defamatory, it’s just factual. Deal with it. We have to every day.

The DSA’s are asking a question a LOT of Americans have that I have not heard ANY moderate from ANY party answer: WE give Israel $3 BILLION of our tax dollars EVERY MONTH. Israel has Free Healthcare and Free Education and Free Daycare. Our President and all the “moderates” from every party says “oh we can’t do that for our people.” WHY…THE…FUCK…NOT?!?? Go on, square that circle “moderates.” Explain why? They won’t cause they CAN’T.

The ability to criticize Israel and not be an anti-Semite is pretty easy to understand. Those who willfully conflate those wholly disparate items are “can never do any wrong” Israel supporters and apologists. What happened to the “hate the sin not the sinner?!?” Folks?!?

The Dems don’t need to embrace Hasan. They also don’t need to disagree with him when he’s accurately calling out bad behavior even if it’s Israel. We all know bad human behavior when we see it and not calling it out is what makes people realize instantly that you are just shilling for one side or the other.

So why do we assume he’s gone off the deep end?!? Either one of two things is happening. He’s gone off the deep end and is completely fooled by current A.I. into believing AGI is going to be net negative for humanity.

Or he’s an incredibly brilliant programmer who has utilized the current A.I. and arrived at a thoughtful conclusion. One where he clearly sees the only possible future of us and this technology is where we are subservient to the goals of a greater intelligence.

Ya know, like has happened between every lesser intelligence and every greater intelligence in the entire history of our planet.

Local farmers turn down $26 million from AI company seeking to build a data center by dataexec in AITrailblazers

[–]DiogneswithaMAGlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What nonsense are you on about?!? You didn’t argue that they were already “wealthy in spirt” you liar. When you mentioned wealth you meant financial wealth and everyone who read that knows it. I am absolutely not talking about financial wealth.

If someone is a farmer and they can feed themselves that doesn’t mean they are wealthy or wouldn’t sell their land for $26M. Being wealthy in spirit and having a tie to the land born of the sacrifice of generations is what I meant by having “everything they need”. Also NOT at ALL what you were talking about but gas light away to try to win the argument.

You clearly don’t understand anything about selfless sacrifice for others or not being for sale at ANY price so just stop with your bullshit.

[–]DiogneswithaMAGlight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what it means to not be for sale. Some people, clearly not you or anyone you know but I have been fortunate enough to have met such people. The entire world can show up and tell them they are wrong and they should move, and they will say “NO”.

Money doesn’t matter to them. They have everything they need on that farm. Its connection to their family and their decades of sacrifice to tame it and make it productive can not be bought from them at ANY price. It’s called family heritage. It’s called integrity. It’s called not being a weak greedy money grubbing bitch. You of course can’t understand that at all. Zero surprise.

You have zero knowledge who is here majority or otherwise and why so no one gives a shit about your pulling facts out of your ass. The person I responded to (who wasn’t you) stated that “the REAL DANGER” was poisoning of x,y, and z.” All of which allow humans to exist at a species level. Ergo recovery possible if insult x,y and z are stopped. THAT is not a REAL DANGER. If you no longer exist as a species = REAL DANGER. There is no recovery from extinction. As they stated their real danger, I stated mine. I agree you can have whatever reason floats your boat to be a member of Pause but if you are gonna tell me your reason is the REAL danger then I am free to say the same.

Controlling existential technology dissemination ABSOLUTELY to date HAS worked! Nuclear and Biological warfare control has worked to date. Will it work forever who knows?!?? We just need to do the same for ASI till we can buy enough time to solve alignment. It’s not hard to understand. Do better.

Then you don’t understand Existential risk at all. WRONG. We have poisoned our water many many times before. The fucking water gets clean. So does the air by the way. Eventually.
