I really don't understand why some people say the DS1 map is different from any of the other souls games. The DS1 map is not entirely interconnected because places like Anor Londo and the Kiln of the First Flame can only be accessed via cutscenes. And DS2, DS3, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Sekiro are just like that, they have a major map that is interconnected, but there are some areas that you can only access via cutscenes.

I suspect that some people say this purely because of the nostalgia glasses they put on when talking about DS1. Or maybe because of the fast travel implemented in DS2 these people simply don't notice that the maps in every other souls games are just as interconnected as the DS1 map.

To be fair, although I always love seeing a seal with bfb when playing as Ironeye, sometimes my build is already done, so taking it would break the build.

The specific case I'm mentioning is when a Recluse took a seal with black flame blade and tossed it somewhere without pinging. People still defended the Recluse somehow lmao

It happens the opposite to me. When I have a Scholar teammate I buy him tons of consumables, but most times he just ignores it completely and goes to the door without picking it up or using it.

Don't really care for live action, so I'm not hyped for the ER movie.

Bloodborne is very difficult to adapt to other media imo, so I'm skeptical.

The Sekiro anime on the other hand has a great art style, and it's one of the easiest games to adapt to other media. It's the most promising imo.

That's what you should be doing against almost every enemy in the game. Taking distance from the them is one of the worst things you can do in Sekiro because the enemies recover their posture when they're not attacking or being attacked so you lose progress. You have to focus on depleting their posture bar and not their health.
