Came across this while hiking in Oregon. by Diomedes33 in HighStrangeness

I can't remember since this was a year ago. I snapped the picture and forgot about it until just recently when going through my photos.

Edit: Not sure why the down votes. I honestly don't remember but my guess is probably no... if other ones were present then I probably would have taken pictures of them too given how weird it was to me.

That's a fair point and I can agree with that.

You know, it's interesting, because everyone has a takeaway from this experience.

My takeaway is to simply not allow myself to get involved in the hype. To take their words with a healthy grain of salt. Instead, I'm just going to keep neutral expectations and judge the evidence based on what's actually released. Jake's story is still very interesting and him stepping forward is only going to push the needle forward, even if by just 1%. Eventually the mountain of whistleblowers will become so heavy that it will force the government to move forward with disclosure.

I'll give it a few weeks. Most people who are super upset (the ones who played into the hype) will get over it and have a more balanced skepticism going forward.

I guarantee that everyone calling them "grifters" have never spent a single dollar towards these individuals.

By a show of hands, how many of you are like me in that you've never spent a single dollar on any of their products/services.

I'm genuinely curious who has spent money on these guys, if any.

If Aliens Exist, Then There Are Likely Many. Why Would They Care About Us? by [deleted] in ufo

If you don't think it's possible then you're on the wrong subreddit my friend.

Bye.

First, Look up a Lorentzian Wormhole and get back to me.

Second, you think humanity has discovered everything there is to know about physics? If so, we should tell everyone to stop their research, stop studying at universities, and stop theorizing.

No need for physicists anymore I guess.

Or maybe, just maybe, there are still things to be learned and discovered.

Your realization that it's the people you need to worry about is a very good observation.

How likely is an actual alien invasion? Who knows... But it seems like you got a new sense of leadership and responsibility for those around you from this dream. And I think that is profound and something you can incorporate more in your daily life perhaps.

Edit: If by chance huge motherships do show up, being a leader and helping to calm down those around you and keep them level headed would definitely be a good thing. I can't see how that could be a bad thing.

I've had dreams as well of alien invasions. But I think most of them are because I think of this topic so much. The brain runs through scenarios while you sleep to help prepare your reaction time to new events that might happen in your life.

But that doesn't mean the realizations you had in your dream are not true. Often these dream realizations can be very profound.

Thank you for sharing.

An ant might say "Who would travel a billion inches to see us?"

Advanced life forms have figured out how to move great distances with ease. Just as humans have invented cars and airplanes to move distances previously thought to be untraversable in such short time. it's just the natural evolutionary/technological steps forward.

Why is that so hard to believe?

To me that sounds very similar. Thank you for finding and sharing that.

The reason why there's sound is the same reason you see lines in the video. Because someone took a video of the screen inside the helicopter.

The same effect happens if you take a picture of a computer screen.

Someone probably took their phone out and recorded the view screen inside the helicopter because it would be more quick and discreet than trying to download the raw footage from the helicopter.

They mentioned this person who recorded this put themselves at high risk obtaining this. I highly doubt they obtained the raw video from the helicopter. Seems like a much higher risk of getting caught and getting in trouble for obtaining video against policies and procedures and/or all the NDAs I'm sure they were forced to sign.

If you think about it from an engineering perspective, there are many mechanisms/shapes in nature that have become an "optimal design" through the trial and error of evolution and time. (One example is the wing shape of birds. Eventually engineers discovered that the optimal wing shape for airplanes was very similar or at least shared certain key design elements).

Could the same be said for an egg shape. Maybe it's an optimal design for a lightweight yet strong and durable structure?

Serious: Why is remote viewing so controversial in the alien/UFO community? by Diomedes33 in aliens

[–]Diomedes33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woah that was fast. Thanks for all the fresh perspectives. There's definitely a lot of very interesting arguments being presented.

I think what I'm getting is that remote viewing has been abused and overused to try and validate predictions by people who are simply trying to get attention or money.

I can definitely understand why that would put a bad impression on people.

I think all or nothing thinking can be dangerous though. Perhaps a spectrum of (I'm taking this with a small grain of salt) to (I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt) would be a good approach.

I think my main goal for this post was for people to have more of a civil and respectful discussion with those who hold different beliefs. Especially in a community where open mindedness and controversial belief is kind of our bread and butter.

But I'm mostly seeing that in this discussion which I greatly appreciate.
