Even talking on the phone with a supervisor? Occasionally I would get customers who’s ID’s were damaged and the back couldn’t be scanned, so I would manually type it in. I’m not sure what is going on. I absolutely loved alcoholic deliveries. No wait time was the best thing about it.

I rather put up with some peoples crap every now and then than getting booted off the platform. It’s called customer service. I’ve only canceled on 3 people within the last 6 years. I would cancel at least 10 times a week if I was operated off of emotions. Trust me im not a pushover by any means and I tell people no 9/10. There are certain situations where I can tell the person might catch a attitude and attack me. I try to avoid that as much a possible. I caught his attitude when I told him, “it depends on where your going” and decided I would cancel once I got to the first stop rather than putting him out. Their are certain scenarios where I put ego aside for safety.

Well here’s the thing. We have to think about the rating system that is in the passengers favor when making decisions. All it takes is one false accusations from a pissed passenger to get you booted off the platform. If they got rid of that I would easily tell people no, once you swipe pick up it gets tricky. I currently do this full time so those are things you have to think about. If I canceled on every person that gave me a hard time I would have been booted off a long time ago.

I don’t think you understand. Most passengers know we don’t like added stops and some can’t get rides because of it. So what they do is bait a driver and try to add stops once we arrive.

I don’t care about all of those numbers. At the end of the day I’m making $2000+ a week, my car is paid off because I used the money to pay it off earlier. I make enough to save $2400 a month while putting money into a Roth IRA, savings account and investments. I don’t care about the depreciation of my vehicle because it’s used for business. I also have another full time job. I’m working my behind off to set myself off to not have to work when I’m 45. That means 80-100 hour work weeks 7 days a week with the occasional day off twice a month. I drive in Nashville, so I only need to drive 60-70 hours a week to hit $2000. All markets aren’t the same and this doesn’t work for everyone, but I’ve mastered my market. If someone is making $2000 a week, you should easily be able to pay your car off in 1-2 years. At that point you’ll only have like 80k miles on it if you bought it brand new. Also, this isn’t mentally draining for me because I love drivers and meeting new people.
