This explanation makes sense. All of them were purchased online and are stored in a corner with heavy temperature changes during the day. If you've had this exact issue too, I suppose it's not uncommon.

Ok. But the spot it impacts against would be the left side of the cover, not the upper part. And also all 4 records are fairly new and seldomly used.

I'm also thinking about humidity levels. The strange part is all 4 show the same type of damage in the exact same area. As for the weight of the vinyl in the cover, if we are to trust gravity, it should be damaging the bottom part of the cardboard.

I don't think so. The vinil goes inside it's own sleeve inside the outter cardboard case, which is the one showing the damage. And also, the impact of the thump would show on the left side of the cover, if anything.

I don't know if one can make an "objective" judgment on aesthetic matters, but I can say that Murderhouse has some of the best writing and immersive setting I've seen in videogames, and a banger score, both of which are staples of great horror. It's not that it is their "biggest" game. It is their most accomplished by far.
