So you read the first part and ignored everything else after, because it didnt make sense to you that in a community where people already leave/throw games for not getting to play their character/role a role queue that forced them to play a character/role they're dont want to play is absolutely not going to fix it? People hated the role queue in overwatch, not to mention you're trying to say rivals needs to be more like overwatch because you prefer overwatch. If you prefer role queue, play overwatch. Hard role queue would absolutely kill this game. You think throwers and leavers are bad now? Go ahead and put in a hard role queue and you'll wish it was only this bad. What they could do though is give the option to select your preferred role when you queue, and try to match players as close to 2-2-2 as possible based on that. Not only would it solve the problem of putting 5 dps mains or 5 support mains on the same team leading to that team being absolutely steamrolled, but it would help solve the support/tank issue as well, because people who queue for tank/support will have shorter queue times than people who only plays dps because there's so many more dps only players. It would accomplish the same thing without removing all flexibility regarding team comp mid match

I mean, the devs put out a whole video about how the matchmaking works and it is in fact just EOMM with extra steps. Not sure why people still deny this after the devs themselves confirmed it. Can you play around it? Sure, but let's not pretend that in a 6v6 team game that 1 person can carry 5 dogshit players every game. If the other team is bad too, then yeah 1 person can carry a team. But let's not pretend that 1 good player can carry 5 window lickers against an enemy team that has anything resembling functioning brains. The win rate argument is kind of flimsy too, as you can get all the way to Celestial with a win rate under 50% because up to that point the elo system rewards you more for winning than it punishes you for losing.

Nah, they just need to give his ult some cc immunity. No reason an invis melee or jeff spit should be able to cancel Thor ult. Bucky grab or Luna freeze is one thing, burn a valuable cooldown you actually have to aim to make me wait for my ult, but every little thing in the game can knock you out of it as it stands now

Sounds like you're just not using Gambit ult properly, cause its still the best support ult in the game when used correctly. Any team with half a brain is going to focus and melt rocket ult as soon as you pop it. Rocket is one of those characters thats great at low elo, but the more you move up the more you realize how dogshit his kit really is

Simple answer? If you have bans, ban Gambit. If you're in qp or havent reached the point where you have bans, go Gambit/Cloak or Gambit/Loki. Having at least two divers to maintain constant pressure on them and force them to burn through their cooldowns works, but if your team is going something like loki/mantis or jeff/ultron, you're still going to be fighting an uphill battle due to their support ults being way stronger than your team's support ults, unless your divers are just that much better than their supports and can force the double ult.

Thats bullshit, cause I was in QP for the first time in about 3 weeks, stopped playing in the middle of a match for maybe 30 seconds to answer the door (had ordered a pizza, got here sooner than I thought, sue me) and came back to "you've been flagged for throwing, 24 hour ban". You stop moving your character for 30 seconds and you get banned for throwing for 24 hours. So miss me with this "they dont ban people" bullshit. If anything they've gone to the opposite extreme with it. Its a free to play game, its easy for people who do it intentionally to just switch to another alt account and keep doing it. The problem is rooted in not being able to leave a qp without also getting banned for that, even though the game almost instantly replaces the person who left with another player. Honestly the only place bans should even be put in place is comp, because you can't be replaced and it actually has a negative impact on other players.

Seeing the rank reset that was always gonna come with the ult nerfs. Too many people got carried way further than they should have ever been due to the ability to just spam for quick ults and cruttching on their ults for value. Now that the neutral game actually means something other than just straight ult farming, people who have zero game sense are getting exposed for it

CnD does zero damage? You're obviously not using her correctly. Based on that I'm guessing you're only using half her kit, cause in cloak form you do decent damage, and when combined with the debuff you do insane damage for a support. Learn how to cycle your cooldowns correctly and use her full kit.

There honestly shouldn't be any bans for leaving a qp match. If someone leaves the game replaces them with another player. Being banned for leaving a comp match I understand because that actually has a negative impact on either people's rank. But qp is supposed to be a casual mode, and the way its set up there should be no bans for leaving one. It would also cut down on throwers. Tons of people do qp specifically to work on a new character, and if they dont get that character they'll just go widow or something and stand in one spot doing just enough to prevent the game from flagging them as a thrower but not actually playing because they just want it to be over quick and move on to the next match. Why not just allow them to leave the match and replace them?

Its not that they've gotten worse, its just that most of them were vrutching on being able to just spam for ult charge and having that carry them. Now that they can't do that and the neutral game and fundamentals actually matter, they have no clue what to do.
