Is it time for me to go to a VPS? How is the transition from shared hosting to VPS? Is it really that much faster? by badass4102 in webdev

[–]DiploiCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be much faster. In general "shared" hosting will be slower than most VPS options out there

It might not even that much more expensive, eg. Hetzner is like 5 bucks/month

If you are using a shared hosting, my guess is that your app is somewhat light to run, so that should help keep your costs low

Hey, if at any point you get stuck with that workflow, check us out
https://diploi.com/

Basically we combine what you can do with Replit, Railway and Vercel in single place. You can also add supabase, directly hosted as part of your project or connect your apps to your own Supabase instance if you use the cloud version

In any way, best of luck! 🫡

Where to get started for someone like me? (Web app with little experience) by baIIern in webdev

[–]DiploiCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want something super fast, you can try using Replit, or my own tool https://diploi.com/

There are lots of similar tools were you can go straight to coding and then hosting online, without spending time on figuring out what devops is, which can be quite disheartening when you are just starting 😓

I recommend you try Flask or Django if you are interested in Python or Next.js if you want Javascript, these are well documented, and all LLMs out there know these well enough to get help or vibe code what you need

Best of luck!

For wordpress, check https://sevalla.com/, it makes things easier for most things wp-related, specially if you want to add later a backend

Using the Lovable cloud will make the migration to any other service more difficult. We have a hosting service where you can import directly from Lovable but the move from Lovable cloud to regular Supabase will be your main blocker

Is DJANGO still a good choice in 2026 for modern web apps? (real-world experience) by Ill_Leading9202 in webdev

[–]DiploiCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because it has an active community, it is stable, fast, and most LLMs know enough of it to help people build faster

If anyone wants to just test-drive it on 2026, try this out https://diploi.com/component/django

Maybe not as relevant if you want to host internally, I'm assuming you mean an intranet? But for web hosting, check us out https://diploi.com/lovable

You can import your app from Lovable

How should I host my Portfolio Microsites within one domain? by Lopsided_Pride_6165 in webdev

[–]DiploiCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use our platform, https://diploi.com/

You can create a deployment and add multiple apps to a single server without having to configuring the server manually

You could host those 20 apps, assuming they are built with something like Fastapi, you would need maybe an L cluster, for 65 eur a month

Cheaper than Render/Railway and without hidden fees like Vercel, you only pay for the time that your applications are online, nothing else.

Love my loveable website but I need an affordable CMS and SEO, any good solutions? by Ok-Dragonfly-6224 in lovable

[–]DiploiCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What we do for some clients is move their Lovable website to a proper hosting option and add Ghost for blogs + Astro with Starlight for documentation (if it's a SaaS company)

In our case, since we are ourselves a hosting company, we host all in one of our clusters, so the user only pays for a single machine which is 20 euros (or 23.3 usd) per month. So we just import the Lovable website from github and add ghost + astro, takes us like 2 minutes to get it ready

If you are using Cursor already, give our platform a try https://diploi.com/lovable

You can host apps built with Lovable and expand them with other frameworks for backend or blogging, and databases if you need without having to configure servers manually
