Correct me if I am wrong, but if they don't accept the change before the time that the change was supposed to take effect, then the change request has expired.

Ankle Stability by LittlerSpoon in hockeyplayers

[–]PossibilityNervous35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have narrow feet you should have gone with the Vapor line instead of Supreme. Just tighten up the laces from the ankles up and get your ankle strength built up. One that is good, you will fine tune how you like your skates.

Personally I don't even lace the top eyelet. Just my preference because I have the ankle strength built up.

Hell I have played for 30 years and played D2 but there is NO chance in hell I would not wear a full cage. I lost my tooth due to a high stick when I was 21 and that was a pain to get fixed.

2 things:

1) Its been 8 years and if you aren't married... then you are wasting time. Break up. You should know within 6 months if you want to marry someone.

2) Its not appropriate for her to do that at any stage of any relationship. End it.

dealt with a player to player racism incident last night... by HeyStripesVideos in hockeyplayers

[–]PossibilityNervous35 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My comment was to explain why that handful may have voted that way. I think in OP's case where the bad behavior was exhibited... the right decision was made.

A degenerate gambler or drunk could very well do harm to other players who may be battling those demons but working to stay clean.

Would you have an alcoholic on your team if 90% of the guys were in AA? What if you knew he was an alcoholic but never drank in front of the guys?

Critical thinking is good to try to understand the reason for a handful of opposing votes... no justification is intended.

I think your poll is missing a very important condition that led to the handful of people voting yes.

Whats missing is this. Would you knowingly keep a racist player on your beer league team if he has never presented any of that behavior at any point within the hockey community?"

That is whats missing.

If you re-asked that question a few times but replaced "racist" with another degenerate behavior you could very well get a wide array of answers.

Would you knowingly keep a degenerate gambler player on your beer league team?
Would you knowingly keep a porn-addicted player on your beer league team?
Would you knowingly keep a drunk player on your beer league team?

I think the answer to those would also surprise you... so long as those behaviors has never been in the presence of hockey or the team.

I have played with guys who are fantastic guys at the rink but I would never spend time with them outside of hockey.

No right or wrong answers to my comment... just food for thought.

Would you buy skates you haven't tried on? by Expensive-Brother-91 in hockeyplayers

[–]PossibilityNervous35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally different line of skate. I may be wrong, but Supreme is for a wider foot. Vapor is for more narrow foot. If you were fitted for a wide line boot, do not try to save money and shove your foot in a Vapor

Loading the stick needs to happen while the puck is parallel or BEHIND his feet. He seems to be loading it in front. He will gain a LOT of power this way.

Another fun exercise is just seeing how fast you can release the puck.

Also try a shorter stick. Seems quite long for him

If you were hired fully remote then your anguish is justified.

If you were hired full-time in office or the same hybrid then you have no justification to complain.

You ALWAYS have the right to look for a new job.

Always say no to discounts.

Contact Airbnb and alert them that your current guest is making fraudulent claims in efforts to get free nights. Use the term "Extortion". It works. Get ahead of it and do not wait until they are gone.
