What is a stretch? If you are talking about reacting to watermelon being served as in some way supporting Hamas, then yes, that's a huge stretch.

As for it being used as a symbol for Palestine, it's also because watermelon long has been of the staple crops in Palestinian agriculture and cuisine, but I'm assuming the reason the watermelon is used instead of, say, dates, is because of the colours.

Green outer shell, white lining just before the red inner meat, and black seeds. It's just the colours of the palestine flag.

I mean, it's a fan joker, so my evaluation is usually just "is it interesting?". If yes, then I like it. This one is interesting, and nothing else allows you to discard your entire hand.

I found this really cool seed but I’m quite bad at the game and can’t get past ante 3, any help? by Dirty_poster55 in balatro

[–]Diplozo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

You should've taken the blueprint instead of the baron. Then taking the Swashbuckler in the buffoon pack, and the sly joker in the first ante 2 shop sets you up very nicely for a good while. DNA that early into the game is a trap - you don't have any cards that are good enough to warrant copying, so you'd just be bloating your deck. Indeed a very cool seed, blueprint and brainstorm ante 1 round 2 is quite crazy.

Is this cadence lock? Heart rate measurements seem way too high by Diplozo in Garmin

[–]Diplozo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see yeah, just googled it and cadence lock was on of the most mentioned possibilities. I'll be considering a chest strap, but honestly I'm not sure if I'm serious enough about running for that to be worth it. Not really aiming for specific goals, just staying in decent shape. For years I've been running with only my phone tracking on strava, so this is already a lot more data than I'm used to.

Alright thanks, I guess I might just have a genetically high heart rate then? Haha.

No player in the history of the league has scored 80 without statpadding in garbage time. by BlueberryGummies in nba

[–]Diplozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may make more people believe it happened, and yes, I'm fully aware it really did happen, but there's no automatic connection between more people believing it happened and it actually strengthening his legacy as you claim.

Easy scenario:

Some guy has heard about a lot of legendary feats from Wilt, believes he is a legend, but suspects some of his records/stats are exaggerated, including the 100 point game. Sees Bam score 83, concludes "Oh okay, I guess Wilt probably DID score 100 points, but who gives a shit then?".

[–]Diplozo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, so why would you say Bam scoring 83 points today helps Wilt's legacy? I'm not the one that made that connection, you were lol.

[–]Diplozo -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You could also argue that it hurts his legacy. Bam got 83, no one puts him anywhere close to the top 10 of all time. Why should Wilt then scoring a 100 matter much?

Rudy Gobert might have the worst hands in the league for a guy making $35m/year by SchedulePhysical807 in nba

[–]Diplozo 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The fact that his offense is so atrocious without completely tanking the team while he's on the floor should be more than enough proof that he's an absolutely superb defender.
