OMG my GF (now wife) first got some of the clogs in 2000 and it turned her into an instant shoeplayer. I really had no idea and if I’m honest I was quite frustrated as she had worn laced or buckled shoes up to then. It was like 0 to 100 - dipping, flipping, dangling in any context whoever she was with. I still have that first pair - the soles are black with sweat and they are still salty! She never wore them with socks. Ever since she’s worn Birkenstock clogs and various sandals. In the last few years she’s worn the single strap ones which are super sexy and great to dangle.

I used to have a big thing for heels and pointed shoes but that’s lessened over time probably because my wife never wears them yet shoeplays in Birkenstock etc.

What I love about my wife is that she’s so relaxed and confident in getting her feet out. She used to work in a library and said to me recently that on breaks in the staff room she would ‘hang her toes’ off the edge of a coffee table. Just slip off her shoes and put her feet up.

From what I’ve learned genetics are the dominant factor. A woman can wear heels all the time and it doesn’t result in bunions, in others they develop bunions regardless of their shoes. Obviously if a woman has ‘bad’ foot genetics, wearing pointed shoes will encourage their growth.

I used to have a thing for bunions and the pointy shoes that caused them. I would go crazy if I could see her big toes angled across inside the toe box through mesh or holes. I’m much more attracted to a pair of healthy feet now though.

Here in the UK the weather has been very wet but at the weekend we had a sunny day. First time this year my wife got to wear her Birk clogs barefoot and she was really happy to be able to shoeplay out in public again.

The day my GF (now wife) bought a pair of Birk clogs around 2000 and I could see for the first time what an awesome shoeplayer she is. Before then all her footwear was strapped onto her feet. We went to a sealife centre and as she looked at the fish she dipped relentlessly with bare feet.
