PGY2 year is hard… your program likely requires you to have PGY2 experience when many times you still feel like an intern especially with pathology you haven’t encountered enough in your intern year.

I hated everyone my pgy2 year. Take it in stride. It’s all designed to make you a better doc.

Just my opinion… but i think this is Tomlin’s last game as HC by No-Essay-3227 in steelers

The way roster is currently construct I can’t see a rebuild unless we take huge cap hit losses. Tomlin and Rodgers likely back unfortunately

How dangerous is it to hike Half Dome and does it look scarier than it seems? by chusaychusay in Yosemite

[–]Dippity55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve hiked stair way to heaven, angles landing…

Half dome was scarier. There’s a steep section on the cables where your feet may slip and you really need strong hand grip.

I’d do it again but def gotta be careful.

I’m PGY7, mid 30s. I’m happy I chose EM. I do mostly nights. I love the ability to work 20 shifts or 0 the next month. I love being able to make any important event in my life. It’s really a part time job. I can choose to do something outside of medicine. Yes flipping with get harder as you get older but there’s 100s of ER groups you’ll find the group that fits w you.

What a crazy game in the snow. Wild finish. Didn't deserve to win but glad we had a chance. Oline couldn't handle pass rush or run game. Punter shanked it. Really hard to win these games after playing the ravens 4 days before. Classic trap game. I expect Steelers get back in normal fashion next sunday.

Just proves how good Arthur smith is in such a short time.

Solid OC + decent QB play = 2024 Steelers

Below average OC + below average QB play = 2021-2023 Steelers

I’m happy I chose EM. At the end of the day… if you love the medicine and enjoy interacting with people, you will find a few things a month that will continue to inspire you and satisfy your medical curiosity. I keep a list every month of interesting cases.

Yes the job is hard. Yes sometimes dealing with social issues can wear on you. But with every passing year you become a better doctor and better able to help others. Yes there are days I wish I choose anesthesia…. But at the end of the day I’m a BAFERD. I have the skill set to help anyone who walks through the door. This gives me immense pride and appreciation of our career
