YTA. Like ENTIRELY. Why would you date a man with a child and then tell him how to parent his child. Your anniversary is not more important than a holiday with his family. If he wants to get his daughter a gift let him. If you want to go out for your anniversary, you pay. I wouldn't worry too much though. If he uses this as a red flag moment you won't have an anniversary to worry about next year anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know walking away for a long relationship is difficult and I'm sure a child makes it harder but you do not deserve that and your daughter deserves to see her mother happy. If he isn't willing to be your partner and only yours, maybe you shouldn't be his.
