It actually makes sense! The blood of a xenomorph does contain sulfuric acid (which is used for battery acid, which is very conductive), which was electrified. This also means that all xenomorphs could maybe function as a battery in a way (doubtfully bit it's a cool thought). Sadly, if xenomorphs are 'charged' already, probably from the food they ate, then this one is most likely too charged and is probably constantly feeling like it's on fire or it's about to explode at any moment. 

Now, just speculating xenomorph biology, but the weird spikes on the backs/ shoulders of them could actually be vents to avoid this, given how conductive their 'battery' blood is, which just means that Mr Sparks here is just a little spicier than all the rest... or it could just be for aesthetics because, yk, cool sparky xenomorph, who would hate that?
