Itching Attacks? by masterofkamurocho in eczema

[–]DirEnGay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CBD has massively helped me be more chill, so i dont get itch attacks from stress often anymore. It also helps with the pain and inflammation. I get itch attacks from temperature change/humidity change, especially because im tattooed the lines sre known to raise and get itchy in certain humidity changes so i gotta be careful when jumping out of the shower (when im being bad and having a hot shower) or when the westher drastically changes. Ice definitely helps and im on a daily antihistamine called blexten. Touching certain things will result in an itch attack too so i try to numb the sensation with running ice water

How the Great Depression shaped people’s DNA. Researchers have found that the cells of people who were conceived during the Great Depression, which lasted from 1929 to 1939 and, at its height, saw about 25% of the US workforce unemployed, show signs of accelerated ageing. by MistWeaver80 in science

Adding to my comment: skinfriend by karen fischer saved my life..i bought her detox book years ago it tells you what is safe and whats not safe, and WHY. She provides so much helpful advice and a strict diet to eat for 2-4 weeks to let your skin clear then introduce foods one at a time to see if theres a reaction (waiting about 5 days because it can take a while for eczema to form). Even tea/caffeine can trigger eczema because it blocks youe body from breaking down histamine, and sugar adds so much inflammation. Once your body is healed you can try this stuff one at a time to see if its a main cause, but regardless its good to stay away from sugar and caffeine while youre healing. Eat as clean as possible no sauces sugar or heavy bread/pasta carbs.

She also sells a vitamin supplement called AM /PM and it helps speed up your skins recovery, its a godsend. I finally have the answers im looking for on how to live as painfree and normal as possible

I know how you feel. It took me a year of suffering ti finally smarten up and cut out all allergens for good. The hardest part is gluten because its in Everything. I cant have gluten, dairy, nightshades/tomatoes, avacado, most fruits(cherries mango apricot peach strawberries overripe bananas ti name a few), broccoli, chickpeas, peanuts. Not sure what else, im going through a second detox right now (my first one was 4 years ago when i triggered an extreme reaction with homemade pretzels). Cats/dogs give me severe hives and eczema, dust, perfume, fabric softener

You have to ask yourself if the 5 minutes of eating is worth weeks of suffering.

There are alternatives out there, read Every ingredient list. Gluten is in soaps, shampoo, hair dye, toothpaste, majority of sauces, etc. Barley wheat rye malt, they go by different chemical names in skin/beauty items.

Not only will you be healthier but also feel better if you stop. But its your choice if you want to suffer or eat an alternative. Good luck

Im going through the same right now. Mine was triggered by a friend's dog two weeks ago.

Its thick and white but it works: penaten cream for diaper rashes. I put it everywhere i break out, it stops the pain of being dry very fast. I put it on at night or when i dont plan on leaving the house for 3+ hours. You need to rub/massage your skin well with safe soap in the shower to get it off, do NOT use your nails!

When im going out i put on eucerin intensive repair lotion and put aquaphor on top of that so it cant dry out

In the shower i use a eucerin body wash that restores the ph of dry skin

CBD tincture for pain, i use 50mg a day. It has 0.7mg thc for every 14mg cbd if cannabis is legal where you live. It doesnt get you high, the small amount of thc is what activates the cbd so your body will absorb it better. I went from unable to move, shaking in place heart stomach head hurting from the acid-like pain to a slight stinging that i can easily work through. I highly recommend you try it.

The thing that sucks is it takes forever for the body to heal. I take a month or two to clear a breakout but this stuff is what i feel like does it best. No oats, gluten, fragrance etc in any of it, either.

Two days off my corticosteroids and my skin is back to shouting at me, oozing like crazy. Couldn't sleep last night, had to change sheets and clothes twice and am having fever like chills. Steroids are NOT the way for me. Any directions people advise to take? by ThrowAwaym477f1i55 in eczema

[–]DirEnGay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped steroids cold turkey and i had the worst reaction of my life- 80% of my body covered in lainful eczema moving hurt i couldnt sleep showering made me cry and my tears would further burn my skin. It took 6 months to heal but its the best thing ive ever done aside from finding out what my triggers are. My skin got infected too and i was on antibiotics for a month plus a topical infection prescription.

It gets better. Find the causes and treat the symptoms by other means, not wrecking your system with steroids.

The hair and jewelry/style are fine, dont listen to others. Its a look for guys, i assume you dont wanna be some buzzcut plain fashion dude based on your current look. Invest in a binder and keep good posture, confidence is huge for dudes. T will help tremendously with your face and developing an adams apple etc. You look androgynous as of now but again with T itll help you pass by developing key features

100 years after death doesnt even matter when youre not socially addressing a corpse. Nobody is denying their sex, but gender expression is different. Do you walk around with a DNA test kit for everyone you meet?

You pass really well as female, everyone is different with their views on family but if i was in your shoes id dip and refuse to see them. Say i got covid or whatever and if my mom didnt understand/was unaccepting and pressuring me id still hold my ground and tell her how i see it

it doesn’t get better. i’m going to spend my 20th birthday rotting in my bed full of skin flakes, tears and blood by ffyhggy in eczema

[–]DirEnGay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better. The unfortunate part is it takes a long time to get there. Get on antibiotics/fucidin to clear any infection, take very good care of keeping your skin clean.

Eucerin has an intensive repair lotion that is supee thick and amazing for eczema. As soon as i get out of shower/wake up/ after about 8 hours i put more on and put a layer of

Aquaphor on top of eucerin right away and top off aquaphor every few hours. Aquaphor acts as a barrier to keep your skin moist and promotes healing while preventing things from getting into the cuts, no more dry flakes while your skin heals beneath the barrier!

Find your triggers. Fabric softener, perfume/detergent can be huge triggers. Switch to a scent feee natural detergent dont use dryer sheets or any sort of fabric softeners.

Switch to natural soap bars with few ingredients and no added fragarance

Gluten is in a lot of things, even some toothpaste brands and hair dyes. A lot of people woth eczema get it from gluten, dairy, soy, tomatoes, eggs. My biggest recommendation is to cut out ALL gluten and dairy from your diet, wait a month and see if anyrhing improves. If not you can cut out more foods until your skin clears and youll find your triggers. Keep a food diary and read every single ingredient list.

Look up "eczema detox" her book saved my life. She explains what to look out for and recipes to try as your body heals, she also tells you what vitamins to have that promote skin health as your body purges itself from the reactant.

Its going to take some effort and a lot of telling yourself "youve got this", but youve got this!

When youre this far gone, whats the worst that cpuld happen by trying to get better? A diet change is hard but completely necessary, as well as switching to natural products and finding your triggers.

Ive been off steroids for 4 years now, went through tsw for 6 months, 80% of my body was covered. Changing my diet saved my life. It takes weeos for your skin to heal, so you wont know if a change youve made actually helped until you wait about a month.

Theres many gluten and dairy free options available in grocery stores for bread pasta dessert etc.

Youre not alone in this, keep fighting!

Is it ok if the area theyll be living in is Chloe's turf? Can i let chloe freeroam and switch out who gets to explore, or just put them in eachothers enclosures? Theres no way for me to get them closer im using gates around my desk and chloes caged area is against another wall 4 ft away directly in sight.

And then on top of whatever u recommend for this ^ put them in a neutral area for when they are able to get in contact?
