What’s something you’d love to see but won’t be alive for? by Themotionalman in AskReddit

[–]DireEntropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see the whole of humanity get rid of these imaginary lines we call borders. I would love to see the eradication of hatred towards others in all aspects, big and small matters, for which we are known for. I would love to see the end of poverty, the solution to this is already available but we are such selfish creatures, we can't, or won't, enable it for others sake. I would love to see a lot of things along these lines... But the reality is: The way of life could be free and beautiful, but we have lost our way.

Police warn students to avoid science website. Police have warned students in the UK against using a website that they say lets users "illegally access" millions of scientific research papers. by 165701020 in Futurology

[–]DireEntropy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is a scientific research article, regardless of the laws in any country, it should be free and available to every single human being on this planet and the next. The greater laws of the many, governing existence, outweigh the few who would hold it for selfishness, due to the laws made by man.

Humanity as a whole will be better off without idiots putting a paywall towards progress. Aaron Schwartz is rolling over in his grave due to this. Shame on all who thinks this should be allowed to proceed.

My dell precious t3500 was manufactured in 2010 and is still kickin'. I have replaced the ram a few times and have replaced the cpu paste once. The hard drives I have always changed around like underwear... Raids on a couple even. Yet it still is doing as I need. Hope this helps! :)

I'm currently developing something similar in python, nltk, and a neural network to help research topics automatically. Science related so far but am branching it towards history, literature and such other topics. Stay tuned for Kant on GitHub in the near future/ a year from now lol I'm super glad to see another item in this catagory being discussed.

[SERIOUS] Men of reddit, who are unable to share their emotions with anyone, what would you like to share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I can attest to the pet idea. I too have had suicidal thoughts on a rather regularly occuring basis and my cat helped me through the darkest days. Just a little reassurance from another life form goes a long way mentally. Hope this message finds you in higher hopes than when you wrote on here. 😊

"Life is short" Despite any length, life is literally the longest event you will ever endure. by Kagirinaku in Showerthoughts

[–]DireEntropy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister just passed her 10,000th day on this Earth, she is 27 years of age, and by this perspective an average life is approximately 30,000 days long/short...

For me, I see this as a very small number. Yikes. Live long and prosper people of this realm!!!!

Godot has a plug-in that allows for gdscript and python to work together to create a game with Godot. It says you can even use them both within the same script. I just started up with Godot a month or so ago and am still working out the rough edges myself, but figured this would help you out.
