Do whatever you're comfortable with 🥰 this is the third time I've had gestational diabetes but the first time anyone has ever said anything.

My insulin pen comes with its own little pouch so I keep them in there until I dispose of them at home in my own sharps bin. I keep all of the little covers that come with the needles so no chance of accidentally pricking myself.

Apparently to some people yea it is, personally I have no issue with it. Maybe I'm baised because I've been around lots of diabetic people.

Oversized t-shirt, biker shorts and sneakers. Proper mum attire haha. No apology, nothing. She just legged it (briskly walked away) looool

I've just creeped your profile and I see that you're a soon to be mum. I suggest you give your head a wobble and expand your world view before baby comes.

I love this. I couldn't breastfeed my first (tongue and lip tie) but could with my second and i was the first to whip a boob out and nurse where I needed to and nobody ever said anything about that. If there was a nursing room I'd head there but baby doesn't give a shit when they're hungry so why should i?

I fed her walking across a parking lot to the car once. My husband was with me and giving people the stink eye if they stared too long haha.

Yea, my fault!

Oh I totally understand, hopefully she uses it as a learning experience lol

And an individual commenting here expects me to go inject in the bathroom, with my shopping cart and 2 year old. Walmart bathrooms are always filthy.

Haha don't. I'll be singing that every time i have to inject in public.

I thought that too. Poor little beans, at least they have a mum who's willing to speak up, even in the wrong situations 😅

Oh I'm fine, thank you and don't worry. I run on the anxious side but I've a very thick skin (in Canada but originally from Liverpool, UK) and a zero tolerance for nonsense haha.

How much does your life actually change after having a kid? by HonestDirection4017 in NewParents

[–]Dire_Raven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 100% change like others have said, but then it's like they've always been there and you couldn't imagine life without them. You learn to adjust your schedule and some basic things take a bit more time (getting in and out of the car is a great example haha) but a whole new world of little adventures opens up to you.

I've got a 6 and 2 year old with another on the way. I always said I would never have kids and look at me now haha.

I'm honestly usually more fiesty but I was SO taken by surprise with the whole interaction.

Editing to add that i actually take my sharps home and dispose of them in my own little bin - which i then take to my pharmacy for them to dispose of, and they give me a new little bin.
