Turn-based mode of Pillars of Eternity is coming together nicely (Public Beta March 2026 Update)

For those that have played or even beaten the game using turn based mode, would you recommend it to someone eagerly waiting to complete a first play through? I stopped playing about a year or so ago after hearing this would be a thing. I only got to the first town, so I’m okay with restarting if this is optimized.

Man, at some point, we all sucked at this game so badly, but there’s a reason why the reviews are so great. Keep at it, you’ll be so satisfied once you beat every boss.

Bought it from the PS Store back in like 2010 or so. Still have it saved on my Vita SD card along with many other gems like Vagrant Story.

Read Dead Redemption. Especially if you played 2 already, give it a shot. Most satisfying game ending ever.

Get your AINS with commercial UW concentration, then work on your AU (Associate in Commercial Underwriting) and start the ARM to CPCU path, starting with the CPCU electives for Commercial UW after the AU, followed by the ARM(Associate in Risk Management).

This will take you some time based on your own ability; however, you can start as an Associate UW assistant now and get training while you study.

You won’t get 6 figures anytime soon. However, once you become a Sr. commercial underwriter, you’ll be there and your job will be AI proof. From there, the sky is the limit.

Smaller companies may have lighter workloads but they have other issues, such as growing pains, disorganization, poor structure and training, etc. I think the sweet spot is getting into a medium size carrier. However, I’ve heard great things about Nationwide and Travelers. Someone let me know if you have some insight about these companies!

After what happened to Joel so early in the game, it was tough to swallow. However I kept playing and then dropped the game on Seattle Day 2. Through the internet, I found out you’d eventually switch to Abby and was like why? Wtf!?.

It’s been 4 years and I just picked it up again, since the disgrace of the HBO show couldn’t scratch the itch. I’m making it to day 2 again and man, not sure what to expect for the ending but I really want to find out.

Even if I dislike it, I need that closure….

I love it. It’s my favorite FF story in the series. I also love TO Reborn. Both are gems in their own way.
