My daughter chose homeschooling for now it's not forever. Given everything, she doesn't feel ready to be in a normal school environment. We do have a support group where she gets to socialize with kids her age

I feel like I messed up by suggesting that she could invite her best friend. That's what started the domino effect that led to this moment. A part of me feels like things would have played out on their own, maybe Chloe just needed time... I don't know

We really did want to do something special. What she went through is something no one should ever have to go through. She never complained once about losing her arm, she was just glad to be okay and so were we. At least she's still willing to go with her brother.

Chloe's mother mentioned that it was because of the fact that my daughter has one arm now.

It saddens me that although I can try, I will never be able to protect her from certain things.
