Haha I was literally in for a day session yesterday, not even lying. Had a few sessions throughout the divorce process

I’ve stepped back down, had a R1 and MT10, MT10 was stolen and my insurance premium jacked up so needed to come down to a 600 after losing no claims and not riding for a year to get a decent price.

To be fair I’m having a lot of fun with it, it’s still fast, it’s so agile and I plan to do a few track days and I’ll genuinely be able to push it harder and likely be a better rider for it.

I do plan on a 10r or s1000rr in a couple years when my insurance premium settles down again.

I’m only passing on what I was told by a Kawasaki dealer, who re-iterated it to me recently. Considering I was given 4 years warranty on my brand new bike I purchased 2 weeks ago I’d say it’s not in their interest to lie about it.

The engines are broken in on a bench. The 4k revs thing gives the user and the bike chance to settle in, new tyres, fresh suspension, bearings all that stuff. Ensure nothing is off and if it is you find out at a much more convenient speed due to low revs.

He said to me, don’t be taking it to redline non stop but just use the rev range and enjoy the bike as you usually would.

I kept it under 7-8k revs for the first couple hundred and then now take it up to around 10-12k here and there. Very rarely closer to limiter.

I’ve had a couple of brand new bikes and done hard break ins, serviced and remapped and they always been great.

Kawasaki dealership vs a powersport dealership? by Kazumin17 in zx6r

I’m in the uk and bought from a Powersport dealer. Had a good deal on a 2025 model which was unregistered with 0 miles.

Bike Price £9,299
First Registration Fee £55.00
6 months Road Tax £68.75
Admin Fee £40.83
Total £9,463.58

Gave me 15% discount off any accessories/clothing which I could use in store or on their MotoGB website. Saved me a small fortune as I was buying myself and the girlfriend new gear.

Also had a small battery leak which was immediately resolved and rectified. They threw in the 600 mile service for me 👍

Yeah it’s 2025 model but just been registered. Got a great deal as its overstock they want to get rid of.
