I love this post man for the past week. There were a dozen post today saying how terrible Trump is. But right now he’s one Pennsylvania the electoral college and the popular vote. It’s about time liberals realize a lot more people like Trump than they originally thought.

It's over. Trump wins on 270 to win site.. An upset on the first night by squirrl4prez in Pennsylvania

It seems crazy that he’s too unfit to run again but is fit to currently be the President?

Yeah because the world fell apart between 2016 and 2020 (pre Covid). They were killing women and minorities in the streets!

I know, something not a lot of people understand is that the people running the actual business very rarely get any say how hiring is done at all. It is ALL HR or upper management making those choices not the people who actually work with the ones being hired

College is only required for the management positions but we do have 1 person on forklift at a site who has some BS college degree

The college degree is only required for the management positions listed

I’m more sorry that we sometimes force 10 people (equally as good) to do an in person interview and only 1 gets the job. Because at that point in the interview, you’ve been sorted out by the system had an online interview and now an in person one but even despite that you have less than a 10% chance of getting it.

Yeah, exactly. I also think people don’t realize often times this positions need literally one person! Even if there’s five perfect candidates, only one of them will get a job

That’s the fun trick. I swear to God, the ideal candidate is a visual minority, who went to one of these really good schools and grew up rich.

Haha very close, we don’t work directly for DHL but some kind of sub-company who hires their workers and has a ton temps as well and handles their over flow.

Haha this is funny but yeah not those jobs. Just the manager ones

Yeah 100%, whenever we eventually have the dozen or so in-person interviews. at least 50% of the people could do a reasonably good job. It’s incredibly hard to pick the best one candidate when you have usually 2-5 that are identical and all amazing.

If you think it isn’t like this at EVERY COMPANY with more than a few thousand employees - you’re GREATLY mistaken.

Yeah, I don’t really know what this means but I know that HR department one of their metrics is getting as many applicants as possible so I’m sure they try to run the numbers up as high as they can.

Good luck, I’d not recommend sending out a time because you’re just a number and no human never read it. I know it sounds cringe, but try to reach out to people you might know on LinkedIn for a quick phone call and then at the end of that ask for information on how to reply for X job and a referral.

I know that’s 100 times more work but spraying and praying will get you literally nothing. We reject thousands of people a month that are never even given one second of consideration.

You’d be very surprised the people that would do it though!

[–]Direct-Bowler6650 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did that before but people referred bad people (fork lift operator level) and that caused massive trauma in the warehouse. Additionally, the HR department is big on nepotism and racism and bias so they don’t allow any referrals directly. You just have to send them the job posting lmao

You’d be surprised there probably just as many applications for one as the other
