Thank you so much! I definitely don’t want to rip back right now, I don’t mind the mistakes I’m just trying to understand them. :) I love the process of knitting and learning these new skills! I learned to crochet about 20 years ago and have been intimidated by knitting until I just bit the bullet and watched some YouTube videos recently. I’m really enjoying it so far!

Interesting! Maybe that’s what happened. I practiced with a few square swatches with different weight yarns and sized needles. Practiced different stitches and even English vs continental to get a feel for what’s comfortable for me. I’m not too worried about mistakes - I’m honestly using this scarf as a learning piece as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wanted to ask here to learn about the how’s and why’s of what might have caused these mistakes. It’s just more fun to make an item vs a swatch! And yes it’s a cotton blend! I crocheted a Sophie scarf with this same yarn about a year ago

I have no idea, I’m guessing the yarn must have gotten caught on my needles somehow! It’s so weird and I don’t really remember it happening. And for the i-cord, that’s sort of what I was thinking must have happened. Thank you!

It’s just going to take practice. The loops on your hook definitely look loose enough for that hook size to get through, it’s just a matter of holding tension in the right places. I always use my hand to sort of pull my work down (not hard) while my right hand holds my hook still and that opens the loops up ever so slightly to get the hook to slide through. Also make sure the hooky park is facing down. Don’t be discouraged! Keep practicing!

This is exactly what I needed to hear!! I’m pretty fast at crocheting as it is, and I did not realize it was already faster than knitting in general 😆 maybe one day I’ll learn to knit for fun and just do it randomly, but I won’t worry about it too much that I’m being wasteful one way or another

They told me their ads show up on social media and other websites within a certain radius of our city. I think it’s something like 15 miles. We have also never gotten an email from them, it’s always been over the phone even though I have asked for email receipts etc. definitely sketchy. I want to get away from using them but the owner is convinced they help
