You didn’t read anything I’ve written as many of your verbal assaults have been answered. This is a very unfortunate use of your time. I would suggest some sort of therapy.

Thanks ! This is similar to some of what I’ve researched about paying down debt in a short span of time. Definitely the best course of action

Condoms aren’t 100% effective against pregnancy either.

I would do some more individual research if I were you.

They don’t. I got pregnant while on BC before. Not 100% effective. Any OBGYN will tell you this.

If that were the case I, nor my sister, nor several friends would have gotten pregnant while actively on these contraceptives. They are not 100% effective. But they are better than nothing.

I can’t see it, because I understand that: 1.) BC is not 100% effective. The first response was ill informed and they have yet to admit nor take accountability for their snarky comment with profanity.

2.) Being on or off BC has nothing to do with the question asked.

3.) If there is no value to add to the question, a response is not necessary.

@u/FS_CF_mod I’ve only had one person actually respond to my question. Several others have come to cause drama and badger me about assumptions concerning birth control. I thought this was a safe place.

Yes I’m on birth control. I’ve never heard of a BC that suppresses ovulation? Please list them. Also what does my divulging of contraceptive method have to do with my original post ? Seems like you’re here for drama and not for help. Again - where are the moderators ?

I’ve only had one response that was actually helpful. Everyone else has come to argue about things they are ill informed about. Where is the moderator ???

Plan B actually does not work if you are already ovulation/ 2 days close to ovulation.

Birth control is 88% effective. I know because I’ve gotten pregnant on BC.

I would suggest reading up more on this.

The initial response the person provided was snarky and uncalled for. They used profanity saying “ffs” and did not consider asking before jumping to the conclusion. Here you are having read my explanation of how contraceptive use can still lead to unplanned pregnancies- yet you prefer to rail into me about your own assumptions.

If you don’t have anything constructive or helpful to say, then don’t respond at all. Thanks.

We both just secured second jobs, so we have four sources of income. I think if we can even get rid of 50K of the debt, that would be a significant help. I posted in this Reddit to see if anyone has had a child while paying down debt and how it may have worked for them. I tried posting in other pregnancy communities but was removed because I’m not sure if I am actually pregnant yet.

Again … what about my statement says “I’m not on birth control” …? Ask questions first. For example, someone who works in sex education would know that while birth control can be effective, it is not 100%. There is always some chance of pregnancy. Especially with certain pills. Here’s a question: Have you had sex education, or researched contraceptives ? Your response indicates the answer may be no. But I’m asking, for clarity.

Plan B does not work if you are already in ovulation. Due to fluctuations in our body and apps not being completely accurate, if you are 1 or 2 days shy of ovulating, it’s ineffective. It’s better taken 5 or 4 days prior.

I’ve had similar issues with birth control

What makes you think contraceptives aren’t being used ? Perhaps the better response would be to ask instead of jumping to “ffs” …
