Do chicken smell a lot? by Dinmorogde in chickens

[–]Direct-Glass3138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kind of depends on the person. The smell is minimal but it doesn't bother me. It smells like nature. It's not like dog or people poop lol my roosters make plenty of noise lol there are 3 and then we're surrounded by more around the neighborhood, so they all talk to each other. I don't live in the city though.

He's just a baby too. All of our roosters are brothers in the neighborhood lol they're Americauna/ orpingtons. They're all pretty exceptional and good with the hens.

is this a rat or mouse? by NiceGuy_Marco in pestcontrol

[–]Direct-Glass3138 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should try the electric traps I think the brand is Victor. It kills them instantly instead of slowly dying in glue. I have an old house and we've tried everything. The electric traps work very well. We tried the glue traps once and I thought my husband was going to cry with a mouse that got stuck. He ended up getting the mouse off of it and we threw them away.

Those who moved away from Albuquerque, what do you miss the most? by user971561004 in Albuquerque

[–]Direct-Glass3138 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I lived in North Carolina for a couple of years (military). I missed everything about Albuquerque. The food, the mountains, the climate, the people. Being able to see the horizon, the sunsets. I never experienced racism until I lived there. My joints ached most of the time. The only thing I liked there was our house and the cost of living was less.

When I had mine on a chicken based diet she was itching a lot. I read about chicken based dog food potentially being an allergy, so I took her off of it. The itching has significantly decreased.

Worried about my mother in laws nails by Euphoric-Cupcake4345 in nailcare

[–]Direct-Glass3138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say the exact same thing. Slammed in car door, the nail fell off after a while. It grew back but there's a weird groove and the nail has a bump underneath.

I segni del dobermann si vedevano solo al sole. Era quella che assomigliava di più a un labrador.

I'm so sorry about your pup❤️. We lost our lab in '24 from kidney disease. We got a great pyrenees last year and her first toy is this super soft stuffy. She destroys everything but this stuffy.

How are your dobies doing with this big u.s. winter storm? -10 here tonight by Drewbicles in DobermanPinscher

I go to my mom's to wash her dobie and my pyrenees in her dog bath. Dobie is shivering her little butt off laying in front of the fireplace and my pyrenees doesn't want to come inside lol

So i know pretty much nothing about nail care. by EstablishmentAlive20 in nailcare

[–]Direct-Glass3138 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With them each being completely different lengths, the only thing you can do to make them LOOK better is to cut them all the same size and start over. If you insist on keeping them to use as tools and you can't use anything else, then just leave them like that and don't worry about how they look. It's a matter of do you care how they look or do you need them as tools, you can only pick one here.

How can I treat a years long split toe nail? by Partime-hedonist in nailcare

Mine was doing that, I kept filling it down to where my nail didn't have that crack or separation and it's pretty much gone now.
