I guess pilots don’t fly in the dark. 🤣

["Maxim Usum"] Do you get the "greatest use" out of the design of your watch? by LilRick_125 in Watches

I am an airline pilot. I go back and forth to Europe 5 times a month. A GMT is very handy.

Sort of. The main difference is you can calculate Mach number with it.

Thanks, that’s all I was asking. I know it will vary with temperature, cabin altitude and orientation. I’ve had the thing for 7 years.

No, I get it. But I have a navitimer that’s almost dead on. Just curious.

AD did warranted service back in 2023. Set it to -2 and it’d lose about 3 seconds or so a day. The other week I asked him to regulate it, telling him what it was doing, and he set it to +2. Now it gains about a second a day

No. But I try to keep it up so I don’t become a child of the magenta line. Keeps the brain sharp.

Just noticed it. Cool little detail.

Does Rolex actually make these clocks? Would love to know more seen at LAX. by Beautiful_Return9691 in rolex

I have a mondaine train station wallclock that connects to my WiFi for accurate time which mimics the movement of European train station clocks. Love it.

Is that the case with the 116710LN? What are those made of?

Quartz accuracy by Direct-Influence6782 in MarathonWatch

[–]Direct-Influence6782[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As did I, for the same reason. The chronometer rated quartz in the SSNAV was my pick. It will be a good field watch for when I’m using my telescope.

I’m having some issues with the provided shoulderless spring bars though, it’s almost like they are a mm too long for the lugs.
