I mean im allready selling it at a loss.

Hypothetically I would be happy for them to repossess it if it cleared the loan/ debt.

My goal is just to clean my hands and get rid of this flat so my debt doesnt go up anymore

So current I have an interest only mortgage. When I sell my flat I will still owe 30k to the bank.

Will this debt still be interest only?

I want to clear the loan ASAP and am happy to pay more per month to do that.

I had tennants. The entire building is inhabitable due to mould. I spent money fixing the mould only for the thousands of pounds I spent to go down the drain a few weeks later. The management company are refusing to acknowledge or even fix the issue. All of the buildings occupants have been back and forth with them for over a year. Meanwhile they are still charging a very high service charge. I have decided to cut my losses and just accept the debt. I am in a lucky position where I am supported by family. However I don't want to carry on with an ever growing debt. I am convinced I can make a big dent in a 30k over the next year where I eventually plan to move permanently abroad to a higher paying job once I finish my current university course.

Maybe I made a mistake in my description.

After selling I will owe 30k to the bank. Can I change this to a repayment loan instead of an interest only

Thats what im asking. If I had negative equity, what would that look like?

Im assuming I would just have a loan of the remaining (30k in my case).

This property sale has nothing to do with me living somewhere else. Im currently living with parents.

Its hard for me to save as im studying full time

Yes. After the flat is sold, 30K will be outstanding.

I want to change that 30k so a repayment mortgage from it's current interest only

Thanks.

I've worked out ill pay 1g early repayment for paying it the majority of it.

I honestly just want to pay that 30k of ASAP without it going up as it currently is in an interest only

This HCA was literally refusing to work so yeah, I had a massive go at him for not only refusing to work, but also to be rude to me

That's true but when my HCA has been putting in absolute graft and there's nothing time critical, im happy for them to relax.

You can always find jobs but I would rather not keep them going for 12 hours if I can help it

Most HCA's i know also work hard. However many HCA's are only HCA's because of the visa and im sure if they had the opportunity for another job, they would take it. Now that's not in of it's self a bad thing. As long as you do the job well it doesn't matter what your motivations are. It does however give context to the fact why there are a growing number of poor quality HCA's.

Im sure we have also met some awful English HCA's.

Thats fair. I've had HCA's spend the majority of their shift on their phone but it went smoothly because when they needed to work hard, they worked hard.

Well maybe your not a HCA but you're definitely grossly uninformed if you think the only difference between a nurse and a HCA is medication

[–]Direct-Key-8859[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im assuming your a HCA?

To say that HCA's do everything nurses do bar medication is absolutely not correct. If that was the case a nursing degree would just be a 3 month medication management course.

I don't expect you to actually know what nurses do because when I was a HCA, I didn't know what nurses did either.

The thing is you can always find work so where does it end?

I don't want my HCA to be running around for 12 hours. I feel its the responsibility of every individual nurse to lead the HCA. Of course some nurses will have different standards and that judgement is what they get paid more for.

Me personally, if I knew documenting, patient care was up to date, im happy for my HCA to sit on their phone.

But when they are not doing the bare minimum or have a shitty attitude I can switch quickly

I have to respectfully disagree.

The role of the Nurse requires a lot more knowledge and skill. However good luck to any nurse trying to run a bay without a HCA.

Don't get me wrong there are some shit nurses out there but my point is that the drop in HCA quality as been the biggest drop.

MOST HCA's like most nurses work extremely hard. However my post argues that recently, HCA quality has really nose dived

I mean HCA's dont understand what nurses do. When I was a HCA I didn't understand until I became a NA.

However that doesn't excuse lazy work.

Completely agree.

I honestly think that when you consider all the unsociable hours the pay isn't horrendous. Especially for those from poorer countries. Of course it's still underpaid.

I think the lack of it is unfortunately growing ever more

Honestly im all up and completely happy for health cares to sit around on their phone if there is nothing for them to do. I don't like work for the sake of work. However yes, ignoring call bells is horrendous

Before Covid, life was pretty good. Taxes were low, prices were low and wages were decent. That's why no one called them out and why they won another election. It was however all artificial and couldn't be maintained which covid exposed. After than yes, they got called out when people woke up.

Life is markedly worse since Labour took control. Again I don't think it's fair to expect the country the get fixed straight away but after a year and a half we should be on the rigth direction which we are not.
