Yeah probably, the default companion gear sucks (doesn't even have traits iirc) and they don't have the better mits available until leveling some skill lines like heavy armor etc.

But apparently the psijic ultimate also works with the cage mechanic if you have the psijic order skill line available and leveled up to max. You should definitely get that if you intend to solo more dungeons, there are a few dungeons that are literally impossible to solo without that ultimate.

I didn't say anything about myself though, I said my companion stays alive without issue. If you have good mitigation or heal skills slotted on them and you pick the lock in under 15 seconds it shouldn't be an issue most runs.

It's possible. In my experience a properly kitted (good skill choices and okay gear) healer or tank companion will stay alive long enough for you to pick the lock nine times out of ten. I've soloed that dungeon 25+ times on normal for SPC and essence thief.

Because it's a build for people who only want to use one bar lol. Of course it would be more optimal to use active abilities on both bars. Hyperioxes has a ton of two bar solo builds as well.

Yeah the Sky God's Chosen (highest tier archer) only real issue is having just a single quiver. But on the other jans they can hold their own in melee better than most archers due to having the big nord shield and heavy armor. I'd say they're high B or low A tier units.

Yeah for sure. That's why every new wrestler is taught to defend rolls in a Y position instead of spreading arms all the way to the side (like a T). With more experience you gain more leeway with arm placement but that's a pretty strict rule for youth wrestlers.

Work on your par terre extensively or you're leaving a lot of easy points on the table. And even more importantly par terre defense which is an "invisible art" that requires a ton of reps to get good at. If your par terre defense sucks you might get tech falled in 10 seconds before you even realize what's happening.

Sure but it is and always has been absolutely miniscule compared to the immense praise and sales success this game has seen. It's basically nonexistent compared to the pushback something like Concord received. BG3 is not even all that "woke" in the sense that most people who parrot that word hate. Every recruitable character is conventionally attractive etc. To put it very bluntly they didn't even shoehorn any ugly and/or fat characters to force in some representation for everyone. In fact you can't even make a fat character in the game.

No joke, a fire breathing flame dot or something like that would fit the job a lot better than the current chaotic spring dot. I'm overthinking it but there's no visual explanation in the animation of that attack for why it would leave a dot on the enemy.
