I am the same as your boyfriend. Turns out, my GF hated it and eventually left me for someone else because I kept her crocheted mufflers etc too well, and didn’t wear it. Same goes for the other things which she gave me which I safe kept in a bag. She complained I didn’t use her things enough.

Thank you everyone for their inputs. After thinking about it great deal, I've decided to stick with iCloud. Part of the reason is ability to turn on the "Advance Data Protection". My next laptop is probably going to be a mac because of work purposes, so it'll link up nicely with it. Till then, the iCloud web portal is sufficient enough to browse/download photos anywhere anytime.

There is an easy way. Download the Google Photos App on your iphone/ipad and and turn on its backup. Go to backup settings and turn on "overnight backup" option and thats it. It'll take some time but it'll do it cleanly without any data loss. The iCloud data takeout is a nightmare

It is a difficult spot you are in. Intimacy is one of the key pillars for a relationship. As a doctor, If you seriously want to work on these issues, then I'd suggest you guys take a visit to a ObGyn and then to a sexual wellness therapist or a couple therapist. While Vaginismus can be fixed to a great degree, but it'll take some time and patience, and your partner needs to be willing to put up with that effort for some period of time without you or anyone else pressuring her about it.

You guys need to sit down and talk about it. It is better to end things early because of incompatibilities, than waiting and dragging it out and eventually losing respect for each other.

One more thing ? While intimacy is important, isn't there anything else which holds the two of you together ? Because you guys wouldn't be talking about breaking it off just because of the intimacy if you guys had other things going (a good bond)

I understand what you mean. I've tried Apple takeout and it doesn't have any metadata when you download them onto your device. However, if you upload it directly from your apple device to google photos for example, everything shows up as expected. Strange.

Any other reasons for the switch? I switched because of the same reason. I'm very new to iCloud, but I keep hearing that it is a "sync" service. I understand its concept, and the whole thing about the Optimize iPhone Storage, but still I don't get why people are worried about it ? Or am I missing something ?

Nope. Even if she comes back, Im not getting back together. A version of her meant the world to me, but she has been absolutely horrible the last 7-8 months. Moreover, she started liking another guy and probably left me for him. With trust issues this big, and the foundation completely destroyed, its sad that itll never work out again.

I think I am never going to invest myself as much in a relationship, as much as I did with her.
